In honor of actually having a thread with something we can discuss other then bitching about how bad the new ECW sucks, or how UFC is amazing, in the Best Heel/Face turn thread, I became inspired to post one myself, What was the best debut ever? There are a few obvious ones such as Jericho's in WWE, but curious what you guys come up with.

Y2J in WWF. From a shock value stand-point, I'd have to say the Radicals in the WWF. Eric Bishoff's WWF debut was cool too, totally unexpected.

Jericho was a good one like you said. DDP's debut in WWE and fuckin takers wife, lol.

Shit I keep thinkin of more of 'em...Lawler shows at ECW, Rob Van Dam & Tommy Dreamer on RAW (mostly because of the fallowing promo), Ric Flair in WWE from back in the day, and while neither of these are debuts Raven and Sandman's returns to ECW were totally out of this world.

Tazz's WWE debut against Angle was great.

Followed by the Undertaker's debut.

If you want to count returns, RVD's return at the last ECW ppv was pretty damn cool too.

Brock Lesnar's debut had me marking out like a little bitch. Most people didn't know about him beforehand, like I did though.

Big Show!!!

Man, when he broke through the canvas at St. Valentine's Day Massacre 1999, I thought Austin was screwed for sure.

Also, as far as a successful debut...Carlito Carribbean Cool. (Even though he's just Carlito now). They had a few good promos, and then BAM...he showed up and on his first night beat John Cena for the US Championship!

Did he break through the canvas? I thought he just ripped the side of the cage off.

He came through the canvas and threw Austin at the side of the cage and it broke off and Austin fell out of the ring and won the match.

John Cena.

When that kid just answered Angle's challenge and almost beat him, I thought that kid can go places. Little did I know he'd go.....to the sewers.

There's some great ones already mentioned, but one I personally loved was the debut of Crow Sting.

Can you really call a year as the champ 'the sewers'?

You guys have come with alot of great ones I forgot about such as Kane's and Big Show's, and even Dreamer's and RVD's at the beginning of the Invasion

I guess it's time for my pick...almost went with Hall in WCW, but gonna go with Jericho in WWE, that Debut almost immediately put him in the upper midcard, a place he was really not anywhere near in WCW, just by debuting with such build-up and finally coming ahead during a promo of one of the biggest guys of the day (The Rock) So... my vote goes with the Y2J Countdown clock.

Jericho & Taz tie. Jericho for owning the Rock, but Taz for debuting while I was there.

I remember marking out when DDP debuted on Raw in that stalker angle. Also Booker T at KOTR 2001. But I don't know what my favourite of all time would be... probably Jericho or the Radicalz.

Debut angles are cool, but nothing...nothing...touches Chris Jericho's debut. People were wanting Jericho in WWF for like a year, he wasn't doing much of anything in WCW, and after weeks of speculation of whether it was Jericho behind the clock, the debut interrupting the Rock was fantastic. I still remember watching vividly, hoping it would be him, then going apeshit when "JERICHO" came on the screen.

It was in August, because it was right before Summerslam. I remember because Jericho debuted while I was on vacation and that was right before school started.

Idiot. 08/09/99 means 8th August in the States. Actually, wait... putting the month before the day is actually quite idiotic as well. Stupid America!

Anybody Thrilla

There is absolutely nothing wrong with putting the month before the day. When you think back to something, surely you think of at least what month it was before you think about what day it was.

How i always forget something like that, hate it, specially when its something like 05/06/06 it is really a head fuck -.-
