An unfortunate turn of events has occured as Mark Henry will be out of action for four to six months due to an injury. Henry fractured his patella during his match at Saturday Night's Main Event. It looks like his match with Batista at the Great American Bash is off the cards now. Here is the official message from WWE.com...

Henry Suffers Injury in Six Man Tag Team Match
By Jen Hunt
July 15, 2006

Mark Henry was injured in the Six Man Tag Team Match at Saturday Night’s Main Event. He is currently diagnosed with a fractured patella and a possible patella tendon rupture.

If the diagnosis holds up after further diagnosis, he is due to have surgery later this week with Dr. James Andrews.

WWE Dr. Ferdinand Rios says Henry faces four to six months of extensive rehabilitation if he indeed needs surgery.

Check back at WWE.com for more information as this story unfolds.

Sucks for Batista...

Well, somebody's about to get released for injuring Henry.

They'll throw something together. Maybe Batista vs. someone from ECW? Or maybe they will have Chris Benoit come back for one night? I wasn't that interested in Mark Henry vs. Batista, but an open challenge, that could get interesting.

You know, you're probably right. Or they'll just cut Sylvan off at the feet again by having him face 'Tista.

Batista vs. The Miz? That would be hilarious in the "Mizanin's going to die" sense.

Batista vs. Big Show? (Remember Big Show and Kane attacked Tista during the Raw/Smackdown feud which caused the original injury)

When Henry got his new theme "Some Bodies Gonna Get It," I doubt Henry thought it was going to be him.

But seriously, how many times now has Henry injured himself in his career? I've lost count.

I don't feel happy about it, but I can't feel bad when a sloppy worker hurts himself. In other words, Karma's a bitch.

It would be interesting if they turned him heel and had him interfere in Rey's match, costing him the title. Even by accident. I know they really shouldn't turn him, but it would be an interesting feud to put Batista in, if they could figure out how to book it. And that's a big if.

I wouldn't turn 'Tista heel until Lashley is 100% ready to headline.

I actually see the moving Umaga to SmackDown!, and this is the only real match they can advertise as a big one. Have Armando challenge on RAW, and have them promote it on RAW and SmackDown!, trying their damn best to make people care.

I could see them doing the turn slowly. Have him interfere on Rey's behalf at the GAB. He goes to attack Booker, but misses, Sharmell rakes his eyes, and he Batista Bombs Rey by "mistake" (remember, there's a size difference here). They then go into a storyline where Rey forgives Batista because he knew it was a mistake.

And it's here where I realize that I'm typing out the Rey/Eddie storyline.

Well Rey is supposedly taking time off once he drops the title because of his knee problems.

Well Rey is supposedly taking time off once he drops the title because of his knee problems.

So have Batista "Injure" him. They've been doing it with Henry, just keep it going.

Then Rey can come back to amazing face pops of "EDDIE! EDDIE!"

Naw Rey will come back dedicating his matchs to the spirit of Nacho Libre.

And the fans will start chanting "Nacho, Nacho!"

Ironically, each arenas nacho sells will be at all time highs.

Indeed it would. I can't see either guy losing, though. I suppose Big Show could get himself disqualified? Make it for the ECW Championship, so it means a bit more. Then have Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Big Show, only for Paul Heyman to knock out the referee, which leads to Heyman getting his ass kicked, and someone like Sabu running in.

Big Show hits a Chokeslam, covers Batista, but the referee rings the bell calling for the disqualification. Both men look good, Batista wins the match, Big Show keeps the title, both men had pins on their opponent which were never counted. Batista can beat Sabu on ECW or SmackDown! the following week.

Then have Batista hit the Batista Bomb on Big Show,

Didn't know they were allowed winches in the ring, batista can barely get mick foley up for the powerbomb (remember having to have orton and hhh lift him up) let alone big show. Only way i could see him doing something even remotely resembling a powerbomb is for big show to have batista's back against the turnbuckle and have show (for some reason) climb to the second turnbuckle then batista can basically push him off and go down with him to make it look like a batista bomb.

<font color=goldenrod>Yeah, I too think Lashley/Batista is a definant for the near future

Really not sure who to have Batista face now. The SmackDown roster is weak on the whole. Shame they didn't do a draft lottery this year to get SD a much-needed star (even though they probably would have ended up just raping SD again)</font>
