After reading various things about the man on this forum, for some reason I felt the urge to download a Nick Mondo match (don’t ask). So I found Mondo vs. Necro Butcher. This has to be one of the most idiotic things I’ve ever seen – something worthy of the show Jackass or its spin-offs. The first half of the match, for those who haven't seen it, is basically these two idiots stapling pieces of paper on each other with a staple gun and the second is filled with dragging their opponent in what appears to be glass and sentons of the top onto chairs. I feel stupider for having watched that garbage. Does this Nick Mondo character still wrestle - and if so - is it still this same shit?

In all seriousness Mondo is an excellent wrestler and talent, whose career was tragically cut short. He could have been world champion and had great feuds along with the likes of Angle and Benoit. And CZW is the number 3 promotion.

I concur. His three fall, 68 minute classic with Angle was one of the best technical displays in all of wrestling. And to have CZW host such a match made every wrestling fan to agree that CZW was a force to be reckoned with. The Nielsen Ratings for that episode of CZW RAW, which was the first night after the WWE buyout, were through the roof, and beat out the Emmys by 7 full points.
