View Full Version : The Rock could make a great RAW GM.

This was brought up in another thread but I think it was a joke. I would like to suggest this could be an incredible idea. Set up a time when Rock could film little promos sometime during the week, he wouldn't even need to be there. Have him talking about since he turned "Hollywood" he didn't need to drag his ass around and act like he gave a shit about each meaningless town he went to, to be able to make a quick million and an inpact in wrestling. He takes over as the new GM and plays up the heel boss. It gets McMahon off of the TV, and we get to have The Rock back in some promos. Plus Rock on RAW every week could only do good things for the ratings.

I really don't think he will be back for a few years, right now he is pretty hot in film.

He couldn't find an hour or two a week to film one or two segments in a small portable set they could set up where ever The Rock was? They set up little interview spaces all the time for shows like Entertainment Tonight and such, have WWE set one of those up on location or hell in the hotel or where ever. The Rock can continue to do wrestling without actually having to do it.

No, fuck that. Give the role to someone who actually wants to have something to do with wrestling.

If it's Rhodes vs. The Rock right now, I'd honestly rather see Rhodes with it. That may change in twenty years, but as it stands, The Rock with the GM role would be akin to Nickelodeon writers being on the WWE writing staff.

Well, we have that already.

Rock as the cockyass GM would provide a good 15 minutes of entertainment on RAW at least.

I like the idea. :y:

Also, I'd like to see Jericho do a GM role. Hell, use my Undertaker idea, give him a camera (Jericam 5000?) and show Jarrett how a real "home movie" is made.
