The Piledriver.

I dont' think I've ever seen a reverse powerbomb where the guy lands on his front. I'm thinking maybe the devastator, but I dont' remember if he lands on his front or back.

Reverse suplexes. I think Eddie used to use it in WCW.

Brainbusters are pretty rare and when they are used they look like regular verticle suplexes.

Your turn...

Isn't the reverse Powerbomb the one where they start out in a wheel barrow suplex, pick them up, and puts them back down face-first?

You know I think they stopped with piledrivers shortly after Triple H got weirded out when he was getting a tombstone. Maybe The Undertaker had a boner, but Triple H didn't want that move used again.

I was going to say a spinning heel kick but there were a couple on Raw.

I'd also enjoy seeing the bulldog more often.

Also, I really miss the Vertebreaker.

The crucifix pin isnt amazingly flashy, but I love the way it just kinda flows, I'd like to see that busted more often.

You know what move I really want someone to bring back... Kidman's inverted pedigree... That move was sick. Also, London's Waffle Face, Edge's half nelson face buster, Carlito's inverted spinning neck breaker, piledrivers, and a decent looking michinoku drive.

Shaved Monkey

You know, its a small thing, but I think I'd mark out if somebody used a backslide to win a match. You never see that move anymore.

I must say, I haven't seen a regular powerbomb too often in the WWE lately. Razor's Edge was the best though.

definitely vertebreaker

And for the heck of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0WryeVeAcQm (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0WryeVeAcQ) <-- sick

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fuNbj804SrA <-- fucking hilarious due to absurdity of the whole thing

I remember catching Batista doing an inverted boston crab of somesorts. It seemed like a pretty powerful submission move. Right up there is Charlie Haas' Haas of Pain. Another move I miss is what Smackdown vs. Raw classified as the "Overdrive"

The spindoctor

I mean only 5 guys on WWE tv in the past 2 years have had that as a finish.

I think Kenny's got it now

I miss neckbreakers. We don't see very many. It's not such a big thing, but I appreciate variety in moves.

And congratulations, Razor's Edge fans. Fertig's got it..as one of two finishers. Which he uses both of. A little confusing in this era of rarely even seeing one finisher from new guys. And yes Fertig's a new guy, he's still been on WWE television for less than an hour total.

See, I prefer the Piledriver not being busted out that often. Makes it special when you do see it.

Then again, in the world of Vertebreakers and Burning Hammers, it's kind of a moot point.

Aside from the Tombstone and Foley's, you will almost NEVER see the Piledriver in WWE.

We'll probably see never see that again because it looks so much better than the STFU.

If I ever saw a Burning Hammer done in a WWE ring, I would mark the fuck out.

Afterlife

I always liked The Honor Roll.

But I've always loved Helm's Topspin Facebuster. And that weird thing that he does that looks like a twisted version of The Unprettier -- I think it's called The Gregorian Conversion.

Kennedy's old finisher... when he jumped off the middle rope with them on his shoulder's.

I'd like to see Foley wrap his torso with barbwire and swanton Flair.

German suplex with a Bridge.

Seriously like the second sickest looking normal wrestling move ever. Next to the piledriver.

08-09-2006, 07:34 PM
Theres so many damn moves that they don't use, kinda realize that now that this thread came up.

I'd agree with mostly everything in here except the vertebreaker, that thing could fuck someones day up in a bad way even if you do it right.

I always like the STO. Also a real Diamond cutter. Also corny as it maybe...the Russian legsweep, I'm sorry the Sandman's version is just horrible.

Northern lights suplex

I have always loved that move for some reason

Mr. Nerfect
08-10-2006, 12:46 AM
I'd love to see the reverse and wheelbarrow suplexes busted out more often. Paul London needs to be allowed to do the London Calling, and Gregory Helms needs to be allowed to do The Vertebreaker, as well.

Fox
08-10-2006, 03:43 PM
Standing Shooting Star Press (I know London and Kash can do it)

The Blockbuster should make a comeback as someone's finish

Was going to say the Razor's Edge til I saw ECW the other night. Fucking awesome.

The Goldberg Slam (push press into an inverted spinebuster)

BTW, the Tombstone was originally banned by Vince McMahon after taking a rough one at Judgment Day 2000 during The Undertaker's return; not the aforementioned HHH "not wanting UT's boner in his face" reason.

Also, John Cena used the Death Valley Driver for a long time before they fucked it up and turned it into his current gay ass F-U.

I think I've seen that in the past in wrestling, I just can't remember where.

Probably a Eugene match.

Haven't seen any of those lately, dunno why. Benoit used to do it but then for some reason stopped.

Nope, Vince only got a punch in the face during the return at Judgement Day. Hunter was the one who took the dodgy Tombstone.

I tell you what I miss, decent reversals. Take this one for example:
