You think he'll ever go back to that ego maniac he was in ECW? Talking about how he was everybody's favourite wrestler, extremely full of himself and how he's the Whole Fuckin' Show. I remember that promo he cut with Bill Alfonzo and Sabu just before Sabu went after Taz's World Title - about the problem would not be Sabu winning the title but rather how Van Dam was going to carry all that gold. Best RVD ever.

He was so awsome just not in the ring, but his character was just incredible. He didn't care about anyone he only cared about RVD. He would never get into any face to face confortations he was just like "whatever."
My favortie ECW RVD moment was when he wrestled Jerry Lynn in an incredible match on free tv and won obviously. For some reason (I forget why) later in the night he had a tag match agaisnt the Dudleys. For some reason (again I forget why) Sabu wasn't there so the match wasn't gonna happen and so the Dudley's were complaning. Then in comes RVD and he's just like I'll wrestle both of them in the most nonchalent way ever. Bill Alfonso was like "Rob you just wrestled Jerry Lynn you can't take on the Dudley's." RVD was like "Sure I can because I'm RVD."
I loved that. I miss ECW RVD so much.

I just love the fact that he turned face, without changing anything about his character, he was still a cocky fuck.

With Heyman now supposedly back in control, might be limited, he might go back to his old ways. That'd be nice.

But can RVD be RVD without the manager of champions?

That is the question of the century my friend. I personally don't think so, but who knows.
