A truly unique character. I didn't know what to make of him when I first saw him. I hated him when I was younger but grew to appreciate him as I got older. Pretty solid worker, pretty humorous. The only time he REALLY lost me was when he was paired up with Luna Vachon and he got REALLY weird. I did dig that theme music, though.

Lame joke or Power Ranger reference? Or both? You decide.

As tpww.net’s (former) official Goldust mark here's what I have to say.
Goldust & Booker T was great, but it wasn't as good as seeing a heel Goldust solo. Just recall the times before he admitted it was head games.
What captured me was the way he walked, the way he talked, the way he was at home in the ring. I don't recall any in ring promos, but I loved his backstage vintages. I loved the whole movie lover bit.
"Winter must be cold for those who have no warm memories." Deborah Kerr, An Affair to remember, 1957
If it wasn't for Goldust saying that on his "Rumble Returns" vintage I would have never seen what has gone down in my eyes as one of the greatest movies ever. A wonderful love story with a nice twist at the end, but that's for another forum.

Before he was a comedy act, everything about Goldust entranced me.

No matter who comes and goes, I will remember, and NEVER forget the name of....
The gimmick could have caused a lot of heat, not in the usual heel way either, but in a twisted way, Runnels himself loved it. He had a new and unique gimmick, one we had seen before in Adrian Adonis, but it was very dissimilar to the one Adonis played. Adonis played a camp gay man and Goldust purveyed a dangerous unusual drag queen with sinister intentions where as Adonis was out for fun but Goldust seemed to have another agenda.-Darryl Craven

What captured me was the way he walked, the way he talked, I could see it in everything he did--Even in his thoughts. He had the right stuff, baby, I'd just love the ay he'd turn me on. He had the right stuff, baby, he's the reason that I rest in pieces )))GONG(((
