WWE gets pissed at ECW fans for "You suck dick!" And then goes and encourages people to chant "You suck cock!"
...What?

yes.
Let's look at this scientifically.
RAW is on the USA Network.
ECW is on the Sci-Fi Network.
Therefore, it can be determined that the Sci-Fi exces are afraid that the geeks will splooge themselves if they hear any sexual-related words or phrases.
Or, sucking a person, for some reason, seems more inappropriate than sucking a chicken to them.
You suppose if they actually showed them sucking on a Dick Van Dyke ice pop would allow them to use the chants? :shifty:

Or just sucking on a guy tripping over an ottoman?

It's stupid, but in this case, it's probably more of the network.
It's Vince getting back at the Hammerstein fans, showing that he is all-mighty and powerful, and their shit is weak.

I thought Palmer quit, and they hadn't been heard from since.

I coulda sworn it was "I Like Cocks". Which, although is a blatantly phalic inuendo, has nothing it to do with oral sex. "I Like Cocks" merely implies that neither your penis, nor the penises of others, offends you in any way. That's not to say you'd throw your coat in the mud, should you save a penis from stepping in it as it crossed the boulevard; simply that you get along well enough with the masculine genitals you may happen by throughout your day.
Vaginas, however....
There's a rooster on the shirt. There's nothing sexual about this.
DX are very nice young men.

It was SCI-FI who didn't want the chants, not WWE, from what I understand.

One involves Vince McMahon, one doesn't. Case closed.

The crowd was shouting "You suck cock." Spurred on by the comments made by D-X. I don't know why the merch is such a cornerstone to yoru reasoning, but I suppose that's all that matters, and so on.

Well, I'm using what they give me. If an ECW guy started wearing a T-shirt that read "I Like" followed by a picture of a little green bird, then there'd be more leeway for "You Suck Dick". As it stands, the "yousuck dick" chants are uncalled for, whereas "You Suck Cock" is both related to and inspired by WWE merch, therefore instead of vulgar, it's cute and proof of sucessful marketing.

Actually, that same thing can be said about "I Love Cocks". They just really like them. Doesn't mean they're gay or suck on them or anything.

But the image consistantly used in conjunction with said phrase is that of a literal cock, not a euphemistic cock. Therefor, if the image of an actual dick were used in conjunction with the image of an actual dick and not the euphemistic dick, then I can see the complete similarity.
See, with ECW, it's still strictly vulgar. With WWE, it's coy.
