Just a random question I thought up. Which do you think was the better overall character? WCW's master of the Tongan Death Grip - Meng (not WWF/E's Haku) or WWE's Umaga.

I actually didn't think Meng was all that bad, and he also had an awesome hair, but Umaga is better.

Meng looked less goofy, more intimidating back in the day. He also wore a long skirt.

One thing I remember about Meng was that match on Nitro with Bret Hart for the WCW World Championship - where they hyped the match as if Meng was going to take the belt. Gave it the big fight feel... to a degree.

umaga is the better wrestler, but meng's mannerisms were cooler.

Now with 35 percent more ass!!!

So are you trying to say when it comes to Umaga or Meng, your vote goes to Rikishi?

I say Meng. You actually believed he was a bad ass. Umaga just has a goofy manager, face paint, and screems a lot. And the thumb jabbing at the neck as a finisher is really weak.

Meng. But I was never really a fan.

Umaga is starting to entertain me though.

The only reason i WATCH umaga is his manager. Meng definitely.

The Tongan Death Grip was seriously no better.

Also, at least Umaga HAS an entertaining manager. Meng didn't even have that. he was boring and limited in the ring. Wasn't he in the Dungeon of Doom, too? If so, he automatically loses.

Tough one, but I'll have to go with Jamalga

The Tongan Death Grip was seriously no better.

I see what you're saying, but I'd pick the Death Grip over the Thumb to the neck jab any day of the week, twice on sundays.

I know I'm just feeding fodder to Jabba now, but that put "Jewmaga" into my head for some reason.

Also, Umaga.

Mng looked remotely solid. Jamalga looks like a fucking joke.

Meng was the shit! Hahahhaa I remember that night as well...when they hyped him against Bret Hart. I was a mark, and even I knew he had zero chance of winning.

They did the same with his match with Goldberg. I remember everyone was going nuts when Meng got the Tongan Death grip on Goldberg, saying it was over.

Obviously Goldberg got out of it, Spear, Jackhammer, pinfall, *MARK OUT*.

Meng was kind of like a legite tough guy, and they always made him look strong, even against goldberg. He always held his own, but rarely won, but you could buy him as a real threat.

Umaga is pushed as a monster who kills jobebrs but needs help to beat stars....

Meng by far. He didnt have much success but when he came out and started chopping, its was nice.

I never saw the second one, but the first time when the nWo was at ringside and then he locks it on...I was like, WTF did he release it for, Stupid fucking asshole...making me miss Raw for some stupid shit.

Same here. I remember saying "BUT WHAT THE FUCK!?!?" when he let go at the 2 count. I was already sick of Goldberg.
