What pieces are you learning to play at the moment, or have learnt to play recently?
On the keyboard/piano I'm learning to play Regina Spektor's "Somedays," from her "Soviet Kitsch" album. I'm also polishing up on her "Sailor Song," from the same album.
On the Mandolin I'm learning to play "O Sole Mio," the motherlovin' Cornetto song. "Walls' Cornetto, give it to meeeeeee!"
How about you?

I play guitar. I don't know I'm always trying to learn new shit all the time.
I would say majorly I'm trying to learn "Selkies: The Endless Obsession" by Between The Buried And Me. It is damn hard though.

I've been trying to learn to play Jazz rhythms on drums, but I'm entirely teaching myself and it's pretty hard.. I can play some basic songs.
On guitar the last thing I learned to do was pinch harmonics (squeels, *WHEEEEEEEE*) Makes playing metal that much more fun. :D

Currently, I'm mostly worrying about arranging and learning the lines to songs I've written for the purposes of a demo EP. However, what I'm working on includes:
Oliver's Army (Elvis Costello)
The solos and leads from "I Don't Know Why"(The Stone Coyotes). I'm playing a more or less dumbed down version, because I'm new at anything but riddim geetar or folk style...
Actually, 3 or 4 TSC songs, because i interests me more to play thing that don't have tabs for them (I'm lazy and if there are tabs, sheet music, whatever, I tend to break down and use it).
Jimmy (The Hollowbodies)
Hammer to Fall (Queen) Sans solos, as I suck too much.

I've recently learned nearly all of the Odyssey by Symphony X. For anyone who knows the song, I'm struggling with that clean finger picked part where the first vocals come in. My fingerpicking has always been a bit sloppy. Apart from that most of it is done bar one or two little bits.

I can sweep pick, but it took me about 3 years to fully master it. Definitely the hardest thing I can do. I practiced doing a lot of Symphony X and Dream Theater sweeps.

I have been teaching myself to play harmonicas. It is coming along somewhat. Need to get a book though to learn some proper shit. Mainly just make up shit while John Waters is playing.

Yeah I can mostly sweep pick too. Not every single time but I usually get it. Have you ever tried to learn any Between The Buried and Me? They have some crazy sweeps in like all of their songs. In Selkies: The Endless Obsession there's like a million sweeps at the end.

Perfecting "Variations On A Temperence Theme" on my Tuba (Or E flat bass) at the moment. I've played it solo in front of a crowd of about 1000 people before.
At the band I play in, we've just finished a hella brass version of superman theme.

I can't say I've heard of them. I mostly learned through playing Symphony X and Dream Theater. Check out the solo at the begining of DT's "The Glass Prison", that was the first one I mastered.

I've toyed around with it but I have never tried to learn, it seems really difficult and I have trouble playing even simple solos. :p I guess I'm a better rhythm guitarist.

Been pretty lame on my guitar recently tbh think Supermassive Blackhole by Muse was the last thing I learnt.
And on the violin I haven't learnt anything new for about 3 years :meh:

You play violin? Cool. I play brass (Trombone), but I haven't done anything with it in a while. I want to write a song with some horn pieces.

Yeah was grade 7 standard when I left high school. Since I been to Uni really haven't played it the entire time. Really should get back into it. Picked it up for the first time in ages the other day though only to impress my girlfriend.
Never played a brass instrument really. Couldn't really grasp the whole puckering your lips and spitting into it dealy :$ Brass played well sounds amazing though.

I thought I was gonna be too crippled to play any instrument that required both hands. Not only does my left hand kinda bend wrong, but my hands mimmick each other. As such, I wouldn't play what I wanted to, like Sax or Guitar. so I opted for trombone.
It was kinda a "This or nothing" approach.
Now I can sorta play guitar, though again, not exactly great. It's even harder trying to play, suppress the movement of my fingers, and sing at the same time.
I used to play really dirty, grungy blues. I had to quit near the end of my senior year in high school (It was a temp deal, was having serious breathing issues), and even my music teacher, who hated me, admitted the brass section really needed the full sound I brought. So I was decent, though I really don't have anything to play anymore anyway.
If I did a horn section though, I could probably get my ex and her sister to play the trumpet and sax.
Oh, also used to play in a ska band. I never liked Ska that much, but how many types of bands use trombones?
