Will Paul Heyman survive?
August 29, 2006

For the last several weeks, Sabu has been consumed with becoming the ECW World Champion. And week after week, Paul Heyman has done everything he could to keep Sabu away from the ECW World Championship. But Tuesday night on Sci Fi, Sabu will be able to take out his frustrations on Heyman in his trademark environment - an Extreme Rules Match.

Several weeks ago, Sabu began demanding an ECW World Title shot, but Heyman kept turning him down, stating that it was in ECW's best interest that Big Show remain the ECW World Champion. Heyman was afraid that Sabu's suicidal, homicidal, genocidal, death-defying style would jeopardize his long-term investment in Big Show. But Heyman could only do so much to keep the two apart.

Sabu won a No. 1 Contender Ladder Match, defeating Rob Van Dam, to earn the opportunity to face Big Show at SummerSlam. Sabu did everything he could to walk away wit the gold, but he could not overcome Big Show's strength. Just two days later, Sabu had a rematch with the extreme giant, but something in Sabu snapped during the match. The ECW original grabbed the ring bell and repeatedly bashed Big Show over the head, busting him wide open. Sabu was disqualified, but the damage had been done.

Now Sabu will have an opportunity to take out all of his frustrations out on Heyman in an Extreme Rules Match. Can Heyman survive a match against Sabu, let a lone an Extreme Rules Match? Tune in to ECW on Sci Fi at 10/9 CT to find out.

The main event doesn't exactly entice me, but the show's been better over the last few weeks, so I'll be here watching.

This is going to be The Bashems, Test, Knox, and Big Show vs. Sabu...Heyman will take one bump.

I think ECW has been good so far. I'm not sure where they're going with this Sabu/Heyman match so I won't comment on it yet.

I'm not sure about Big Show now that they're including him on the DX program on Raw.

He's the ECW Champion... him not being on TV is only applicible if he's dead.

That's true but you'd think the WWE would put the ECW Champ in a program on ECW. It's only logical.

It doesn't make sense to me to bring the ECW Champ Big Show into the DX fued on Raw is all I'm saying.

Ahhh...The Dark Helmet principle. Evil always conquers because good is done. It's extreme rules, yet the ECW guys aren't smart enough to figure out that they can intervene?

What a dragged out finish. The time could've been used to give every match on the card decent time to tell an (in-ring) story.

Show's theme at the end of the show when Hardcore got the 'last word' in? That's so Steve Austin.

LOL at Show's DX impression, that made the show.

LOL at Show's DX impression, that made the show lamer than anyone thought was actually possible..

What a dragged out finish. The time could've been used to give Vince Russo an outlet, and still not be as bad.
