The next animated DC project with the 'Bane' of following the awesome (and premeturely booted) Justice League Unlimited/Teen Titans combo will be based on the Legion of Superheroes, a Justice League like group of meta-humans in the year 3000. They appeared in two DCAU programs (Superman S3 and JLU S2) but will get star treatment as the forerunners of the UPN/WB abomination CW. Note: the block it will appear in is still called Kid's WB.

As you can see from the promo pic, a younger Superman as found his way into the teams rank. If you're a geek like myself, you'll remember Supergirl remained with the team in the year 3000 in the JLU eps. Well two things:

This show has nothing to do with DCAU continuity, like The Batman.
And guess whose movie came out just a few months prior.

I remembered Supergirl being in the concept for the show following the JLU's storyline (as well as comics), but here we are with Superboy. In a sense, you could imagine being the alternate ending to the Superman S3 eps when three members of the Legion went back to terminate Brainiac's plan to kill a young Clark Kent. In that regard I find the premise more acceptable. Note: the actual plot is that they went back to get their inspiration, Superman, for help. They went back to far and settled for Tom Welling instead of Brandon Routh. I hope the pilot makes better sense than I just did.

I'm digging the art style, it gives me an old Saturday morning cartoon vibe (which I guess is the point). Hopefully it'll turn out well.

...For the kids I mean... :shifty:

Is Bruce Timm producing? If not, it will prolly suck.

No. :nono:

But Teen Titans was okay without BT, so I'll give it a chance.
