Who will be the next...

People always talk about who will be the next great wrestler. e.g, who will be the next HHH, HBK, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin etc... So just wondering, out of all the wrestlers of today, who do you ppl think will be the next...

Triple H: Randy Orton. I think this guy will be huge and will dominate the WWE for the next 10 years +. He seems to wrestle much like Triple H, targetting a body part and having great natural heel characterisitics.


HBK: Shelton Benjamin. Great natural wrestler partly based on his amateur background. Coupled with his aerial skills which are similar to the young Shawn Michaels. I guess what he really needs to work on is his crowd reactions. I'm yet to hear a massive pop or heat for Shelton (other that when he was with WGTT).


The Rock: Carlito. Funny on the mic, gets great pops and heat, and uses good little catchphrases. He even has wrestling in his past (through his father.) I guess the one thing that really sets him apart from the rock is that he is actually a really good wrestler...something the rock, IMO never quite was.



Chris Benoit: Rob Conway or Charlie Haas. I think both these guys are great wrestlers. What I'd really like to see is for them to one day just "snap" and go on to brutally make someone submit, and make it believable. I believe both are capable of this.

Triple H: Edge. He's the star of the moment.
HBK: Johnny Nitro. All he needs is to learn how to work the mic.
The Rock: Ken Kennedy. The guy is pure entertainment.
Steve Austin: Trevor Murdoch. Seriously. He is among the most underrated guys on the roster right now. If not for him, Cade would have been wished the best on his future endeavors a while ago.
Dynamite Kid:We already had him: It was Kurt Angle
Chris Benoit: If they can give him some decent charismatic opponents to work with: Brent Albright.
Kurt Angle: As far as the total package as a performer is concerned: CM Punk.

The next HHH will be...

HHH...surprise surprise.

Well, let's face it, the guy can reinvent himself. After coming back from a torn quad, he soon became the star of the company...cheered wherever he went. Then he became everyone's most hated...purely because he was married to Steph.

Well guess what. he's still married to steph, and is getting huge face reactions thanks to DX...but how long will it be until the fans turn on him again?

The next Rock: Mr. kennedy!!!!

The guy has mic skills, and can wrestle. The fan reactions he gets at the moment are similar to The Rock's 1999/2000 heel character.

The Next Chris Jericho: Kane...not because of how he acts, but because the WWE manage to push him then drop a push just as quick...then forget he exists.

The next Brock Lesnar: umaga...look at the way they are pushing the guy...still undefeated...and they show no signs of relenting with his push.

There are lots of "The Nexts" in wrestling, but I honestly think the WWE should work with "the nows", to ensure that people are still interested in the product in five years time.

Triple H: Edge. Like HHH is not talented enough to become a brillant heel but will most be the company's (or one of the brands) most over heel for years to come due to fans being so sick of him being in the mainevent scene. I can see Edge having a simmilair character to the character HHH had in 2003-mid 2005.

HBK: Maybe Nitro.
The Rock: Ken Kennedy. His promo skills and his character remind me alot of the work. I think it would help kennedy alot if he copied the rocks wrestling style because I believe it would suit him.
Steve Austin: Noone really.
Dynamite Kid:Benoit
Chris Benoit: Gunner Scott. Has all the same skills that benoit had. In fact he might struggle due to being too simmilar to benoit and in turn will not be as over.
Kurt Angle - I dont think anyone could be like Angle.

Chris Jericho- Carlitto.Not only in terms of being a internet favorite and his mic and wrestling skills but also his standing in the company. I think he will be in the midcard for most of the time in the wwe only being in the main event occasionally much like Jericho was.
