Cryme Tyme debuts on RAW
September 4, 2006
Monday night on RAW (http://www.wwe.com/shows/raw/), Cryme Tyme was introduced to the RAW audience. In an effort to humor and entertain our fans, the tag team known as Cryme Tyme will be parodying racial stereotypes.
Shad Gaspard and JTG do outlandish, outrageous “stunts” to ready themselves for tag team action on RAW. This attempt at Saturday Night Live-like humor is bound to entertain audiences of all ethnic derivations.
We hope you enjoy the weekly adventures of Cryme Tyme.
Watch (http://www.wwe.com/content/media/video/tvshows/raw/200609/3262126/090406crymetyme) Cryme Tyme work on their speed.

There is no way I can see this getting over for a WWE audience.
One reason political correctness.
The WWE audience is mostly white. Well that creates a problem. White people no longer have the balls to cheer that kind of shit. Political correctness has neutered white America, in their homes sure, racists as hell. But the masses will not e racist in public. They don't even have the balls to say nigger out load in fear that they will offend someone in ear shot.
A whit guy is sitting next to a black guy at RAW and Cryme Tyme comes out right. Can you see him cheering these walking Aunt Jamima's knowing the reaction the black will give him? I can't, babyface Cryme Tyme is insane.
But everyone could boo a stereotype.
Then again, giving the WWE audience enough credit to even recognize the racial stereotypes may be going out on the limb.

I personally think Cryme Tyme could be a popular tag team in a way that Too Cool was, forget the stereotypes, I believe most people will be able to just laugh it off, black or white.

Which is why Chappelle, Mencia, and rap are so popular.
OH WAIT.

Well OBVIOUSLY WWE isn't allowed to be contraversial like Chappelle and Mencia because pro wrestling is held in such high regard by the public and must meet certain standards.
