I can't stand in the WWE how every show is full of replays. Didn't I just see this entire replay live 1 minute ago prior to the commercials? Why do they waste so much time with replays and recaps when they could actually be doing stuff to progress story lines or make matches longer? If you think about it, why watch Raw live if I can just flip back two minutes later for the replay? FUCK!

By the way, I missed Raw last night and don't care.

Well you missed out, the whole show they show not a single replay.

That's what I don't get. If I miss smackdown, I can never see that episode replayed. RAW has a replay, but it is on a 9 in the morning on saturday. I agree that there are alot of replays on each show, but I don't mind because for 60% of the show, I'm just not paying attention.

Oh, and the Rock vs Chris Jericho was awesome.

This match should be in the running for match of the year.

Because statistically speaking, the average wrestling fan has a memory span that lasts all of five seconds.

Either that or it's because people tend to channel surf, and showing a replay of what happened is a good way to gauge the viewers interest.

Too bad they'll never replay it.

Or because the first statement may or may not be true, but the WWE program directors/media moguls/rodeo clowns/whatever they're called now believe it to be.

And as long as they believe it to be true, it might as well be.

Yeah it is pretty annoying that everything has to be replayed as soon as we get back from the break. But look at it as I do... it's one less minute of divas or diva searches or Vince talking or Viscera wrestling or Maria watching paint dry.

Or just general Flair.

Also for Raw, since it is a live show it is fairly hard to fill up exactly two hours. They usually will schedule it under so if things run long they won't go over. THus if things are running short, replays can fill up some quick time.

They didn't used to do that as much back in 98-00. Kinda' sucks that they haven't got enough good material.

And then they usually come back to a rest hold, but they'll show you what happened during the break. Why not use the commercial as the rest hold, and then come back on with action?

Because they are still tyring to push the whole "Anythig can happen" line.

It's a shame that they went from it happening on occassion, to it happening frequently, to it being more formulaic than a Hulk Hogan match.
