Is it me, or is it actually coming around? I know, I know, shocking. But really, lets take a look...

Spirit Squad;

Rumors they might be breaking up after Unforgiven, but if not, one more for the list.

Vis and Haas;

With a little more depth, could be players for the tag belts. We'll find out

Cade and Murdoch;

Back together again, but definitelly legitimate. Again, with more airtime, could be contenders

The Highlanders;

Probably the biggest team on RAW right now, and most likely the new tag champs after Unforgiven.

Eugene and Hacksaw;

Gimmick team. Even though I'm not quite a fan, I don't dislike seeing them.

Cryme Tyme;

I'm a fan now, at least after their promo on RAW last night. I can't wait until they debut.

So there you go, 6 tag teams on a split brand show.

Thoughs?

I watch Heat every week and there has been some good tag matches lately. They just never end up on Raw unfortunatly. Cade and Murdoch seriously need another run with the belts

Its not like their guys CANT go, its just the WWE isn't interested in the division. I looks like now they are trying build somewhat of a division back up but how many times have they done this? Once SS breaks up you'll get like 8 teams or, but will they be used? Not likely.

Every couple of months, a new post on the tag team division for either Raw or Smackdown comes up, indicating that this time, it really is getting better.

It's been one day. Don't prematurely blow your load. Leave that to the Punk marks.

I mean, is this really unique to CM?

TNA aside the things you mentioned are quite exceptional.

The UFC has a shitty tag team division too.

compared to 6 months ago when it consisted of Kane and Big show, Snitsky and Tomko and Venis and vis , I'd say it's improved

I agree. But i'm just waiting to see how long it takes the WWE to fuck it up. Probably wont be that long.

Wait, Hacksaw Jim Duggan wrestles? And it's considered a plus?

Previously, we had a gimmick tage team, two guys with no reason to be together, and a couple of shitty wrestlers. Duggan is a lateral move, and now there are five teams instead of 3.

Yeah there may be five tag teams now, which in a definite start in the right direction, but how many of these teams are really capable of having great matches?

We don't know for sure, but I'd say 3 of them could if given a chance, and maybe you could milk Haas and Vis into a couple of good matches. I don't mean some machiavellian scheme where Visera becomes WHC in a 60 minute iron man match with CM Punk and Kurt Angle, just some enjoyable matches. Get a couple of SS guys to take down the love machine, and it could be huge.

I'm sure some of them could surprise and put on some good matches, but like you said they need to be given the chance. Hopefully the WWE sees that they actually have a semblance of a tag division, and if they just put the effort into it and give it a chance, it can be quite good. Let's hope the WWE doesn't forget about the tag division in two weeks, and builds off some momentum they have.

This is a better sign than most.

Even if some of them suck, it's better than the prior TT division where almost all of them sucked. So while I think the gushing about a better division is premature, I'm definitely gonna wait. I'm just not going to drop trou and start jerking off to it juuuuust yet. ;)

One team I would definately create: Val Venis and Super Crazy.

Venis used to compete in Mexico and Puerto Rico, and he can speak fluent Spanish. I just think it would be awesome to see Crazy beat-down by Rob Conway and Chris Masters one week (another team that should be created), and he has to find a partner to face them the following RAW. He goes to Val Venis, and says that he wants to team with him, and to help unleash his Mexican training. Plus Super Crazy could get Val Venis into Spanish porn.

The major issues with tag teams, is finding ones that can wrestle. Val Venis & Super Crazy and Chris Masters & Rob Conway are definately steps in the right direction. The Spirit Squad should be kept together, and The Highlanders seem talented. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch are good in a sense, and I'm willing to give Cryme Tyme/Haas & Vis a chance.

i like Alienoid's idea. Masters needs a new start and Conway could be brought up with him and we got a new heel tag. Cut promo's on how they're the best bodies on RAW and the basic heel shit.
