A fan hopped the railing at the TNA TV tapings last night in Orlando, FL at Universal Studios. The fan went after Jeff Jarrett during a taped segment and was quickly taken down by security

Yep. This is a GREAT idea by the way. Having him go after "fans" with chairs and brawling with them.

This just proves how over he is.

Fans wishing death upon you has been a staple in being an over heel for the past 100 years, no reason for that to change now. Of course as the Original Sheik proved you can be too over as a heel, ultimately it killed his promotion. But damn it he was over.

There's a difference between heat for a wrestler and "GOD DAMMIT I'M SICK OF THIS F***ER I WANT TO KILL HIM!!!!". But yeah, it was a plant so no biggie.

Crippla

I'm gonna get a lot of cheap heat here by saying I like Jarrett which is actually true.

Destor

Thats always been the highest level of heat since the carnie days. There is no difference. One is bad for business, but it remains heat. Just not healthy heat.

I'm gonna get a lot of cheap heat here by saying I like Jarrett which is actually true.Me too. He's hurting the company, there's no doubt there, but he is a great heel. Unfortunately in the era of sports entertainment being a truly hated heel is a detriment.

Well let me say something. Jeff Jarrett has never been that bad a wrestler.

Crippla

Do casual fans even watch TNA? I think to answer to how much of an impact the IWC could make is in TNA's ratings. About 1.0.

So they'd actually end up with negative ratings?

I'm starting to like TNA though that's only because I haven't watched it in months and it has that "new" feeling. That reminds me of something I was trying to tell my sister. She liked TNA, strictly for the X division, when it first came on the scene and I told her that the spot wrestling will get old when the new car smell wheres off.

Sure enough two months later she's telling me how much she thinks TNA sucks. A spot match here and there is fine for the casual viewer, but it has no substance. Eventually it becomes stale, and quicker than it should. Its a quick fix, nothing more.

Yeah thats what I mean. The one match that won't get stale though is that World Cup Battle Royal that Petey Williams won. I also like Kevin Nash, he makes the X Division great.

It always confuses me, because I see that Brown is supposed to be a heel, but he's still almost universally cheered. The only way you can get booed is by being jarrett or being the guy who screws his opponent out of the title, and the formers's X-Pac heat, and the latter only lasts until the start of the next show you appear on without Jarrett in the shot.

They can't even get team Canada all that over as heels. Partially because it's just a hsittier version of Canadian stables from the past, partially because it's TNA and they have fans who would cheer someone changing the lights.

I think Jarrett's alright. I don't follow TNA but I've heard he monopolizes that show. Well good for them for doing this. A newer promotion should have a steady top guy be it heel or face.

People dislike Jarrett to the point they wont watch the show because he's on it, he's reached dangerous heel heat territory.

So fucking true. TNA is essentially there because smarks want to stick it to Vince.

Honestly, I'd love an alternative. I just don't think TNA is good enough. When the top heel makes me want to turn off the TV, I can't help but wonder how good the product is.

1) Yeah thats me I tried a boy-cott by watching the alternative.

2) Now I don't like TNA because Jarrett is the champ, and likely will be for awhile :(

3) I am beginning to wonder too how good they actually are, at first I loved them.

1. Bocotting TV doesn't work. Unless either A. Millions of people do it, or B. You're a Nielsen family.
2. There are better reasons to dislike TNA.
3. They get points for being different, but the novelty wears off quickly.
4. To TNA Sux?

There is some promise on the horizon for TNA in some of the current storylines assuming they don't fuck it up somehow:

- For one, Bound For Glory is something they are already hyping, and they are going to finally take it on the road by going to Detroit, and I read something somewhere that TNA was going to be touring sometime around the point that BFG was going to happen, so I think they got the message about the Orlando. The six sided ring would be good if it wasn't so damn different. Sure, in different parts of the world, a six-sided ring and an 8-sided one is common, but in the US, we are only used to seeing a traditional 4 sided one, and many casuals haven't seen it any other way since the "sport" was introduced to us in the 50's. It's just WAY out in left field.
- The Jarrett/Sting match that is coming uip they are gimmicking as "Title vs. Career", with Sting's career being the one in the balance. Now I don't think there has been any news yet (correct me if I'm wrong) about Sting leaving TNA soon, so that may be a spoiler that Sting may be getting the title at BFG.
- The LAX stuff has been very good, with Konnan being the kick ass mic worker I've thought he was. Dunno about the other guys, but the promos have been dead on. Same with the Nash stuff.
- The Runt brainwashed by Raven stuff is pretty good (but why the piece of shit Abyss being Runt's target).

Let's hope these things are not fucked up somehow (asking a lot again, but unlike the WWE, I think TNA is capable of doing something without fucking it up).
