The guy that does VGCats made a comic about Spore a while back (here it is (http://www.vgcats.com/comics/?strip_id=200)) and the team creating the game re-made the comic but created the creatures on the Spore game (here (http://www.vgcats.com/news/comic_spore_Will.jpg)), to show the things you can do with the editor. Now suddenly, he got a package delivered containing all the creatures he made from the Spore comic as toy models.
Click here for the models. Contains creature butt. (http://img170.imageshack.us/img170/4195/allhs9.jpg)
So thats how your creature could look. Never says how much it will cost the rest of us.
So what, after you make your creature you can buy the thing?
That is fucking awesome if that's what it is.

yeah they can make models of your creatures... For a price.
I thought this was pretty old news from a few months back. No one posted it here? The news about creature models, I mean.

Oh well, basically you make a creature and use them in the game. Then you can order a 3D model of one of your creatures. They use some big laser machine thing or something and then send it to you. It was all over the internet a while back. I read it everywhere and Will Wright mentioned it himself but now I can't see any news, just people discussing prices.
Since this is the newest Spore thread, anyone heard any news about it? It's been pretty quiet for about half a year...

I'm hyped for the Wii release of this game.
There's some news I hadn't heard about: The Wii Release. :y:
Though I thought Wright said that it wasn't going to be for consoles?

Speaking with GameSpy during E3, Will Wright confirmed that Spore will be available "on all platforms," including cell phones - and presumably Wii. While Wright did not specifically name-drop "Wii," we must assume that "all platforms" includes Wii. In addition, Wright, by his own admission, is a bit of a Nintendo fanboy: "I'm rooting for Nintendo," he told GameSpy. Despite this statement, Wright was critical of the Wiimote, observing "the way the Wii controller works depends a lot on how close you are to your TV."
Interestingly enough, Wright currently favors the DS as his platform of choice. Any chance Spore will end up on Nintendo's handheld? [Update: Spore has been confirmed for the DS (http://www.dsfanboy.com/2006/03/23/will-wright-confims-spore-will-hit-the-ds/). Thanks, Sense.]
Spore is tentatively set to debut on the PC early next year (April/March 2007).
