View Full Version : Hmm, this is interesting... *SMACKDOWN SPOILERS*

Just read the SmackDown! spoilers and Booker beat Batista to retain his title and the stipulation was that if Booker won Batista couldn't challenge him one on one for the title again.

So this obviously sets up some sort of triple threat match.

Can anyone say Chris Benoit? If Benoit came back the WWE would be stupid not to put the strap back on him.

He will be over as fuck on his return and they can push him to the moon. Cementing a real bonafide main event face for SmackDown. Now if Cena eventually comes to SmackDown! (fingers crossed) we have Batista, Booker, Benoit, Cena (maybe heel turn?) and a hopeful push for Lashley into main event. Obviously though we are left with 4 faces and 1 heel so possible heel turns from Batista or Cena would be very interesting. In fact a Batista/Cena feud would rule. Then we could have Lashley turn heel, give his character a little more edge and feud with Benoit and Booker setting up some four star matches for us all to enjoy.

Maybe just wishful thinking but it's looking hopeful.

Damn, wish I hadn't of checked this thread now. Mind you, I probably would've missed it anyway.

Nice to see that Booker went over Batista as i'm liking his reign at the moment, wonder what they'll do with Batista, maybe a Finlay/Batista feud is coming up?

Nah Batista needs to do something bigger than Finlay right now. Get Batista on RAW maybe and bring heel Cena and Benoit to SmackDown!. Batista is no good on SmackDown!, shows his weaknesses off too well. At least Cena can hide his with his charisma.

Cena will probably not leave RAW in the near future or turn heel due to his popularity. Just wishful thinking really. However might be a good ratings boost for SmackDown!.

LOL WTF @ Henry Godwinn returning. Why?

I'm gonna guess here that the No Mercy Main Event will be:

WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP
Fatal 4-Way Match
KING BOOKER [: : : : : : : : © : : : : : : : :] vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Finlay vs. Batista

Granted it WOULD be pretty stupid to put Finlay in right now, so maybe he'll be left out of it and the other 3 will go at it in a Triple Threat Match...who knows...guess we'll just wait till the Fri. b4 NM (most likely anyway) to find out.

Benoit deserves the title again and Henry Godwinn's been working in OVW a lot this year in hopes of making a return.

Why do I know the name Henry Godwinn? That's really bugging me.

Kudos to B2 for the possible return. If he makes a full blown comeback, he has to feud with Cena, for dumping him the way he did.

And I'm all for a Hardy / Helms feud. But the idea of a Miz / Helms team disturns me greatly. Unless, of course, they work it like that old cartoon with the bulldog and the yappy dog. Where they're walkin' down the street, and the yappy dog is all like, "Hey, Max! Nice hat, Max! Whatchu wanna do today, Max?" and the bulldog's all like "Hey, Sam...shaddap."

And then Nigga slaps a bitch.

I could deal with that.

Apparently the fans in attendance shat all over the Henry Godwinn/Bull Buchanan match. The should have Bull return and face someone like Val Venis, Rob Conway or Shelton Benjamin on Heat, and actually put him against someone with talent.

With it looking more and more likely that John Cena will go to SmackDown!, I can see Batista going to RAW. I personally think SmackDown! still needs him, and they should really stick him in the ring with Finlay (who can make a sack of shit look good).

Ken Kennedy should make his match against The Undertaker for the United States Championship. That would be sweet. Non-title matches where main eventers squash mid-carders piss me off. Add Batista vs. Finlay, King Booker vs. John Cena, Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms, Vito vs. William Regal and Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. The Teacher's Pets vs. The Pit Bulls to the card, and you have yourself a pretty good PPV in the works.

I called it...should be a great feud even though obviuosly Batista will go over, but it should be entertaining.

Mark Cantabury AKA Henry Godwinn was in a tag team from like 1996-1998 with Phineas Godwinn(Dennis "Mideon" Knight). They were a team with a hillbilly gimmick and managed by Hillbilly Jim. They later wrestled under their real names in late 1998, formed an alliance with Jeff Jarrett and became known as Southern Justice.

Johnny Ace is the one who thought it was a good idea to bring Tatanka back. He felt as though it would help to have an experienced veteran like Tatanka in the SmackDown! locker room to help out some of the new guys.

I was actually thinking Benoit should interfere in the Cena-Edge match at Unforgiven. He could beat up Cena, in effort to get him over to Smackdown, while also making his return in Canada to a huge pop.

I'm hoping for something similar. I saw Benoit interfering on behalf of Cena, though. It makes John into a babyface (Benoit could turn Hitler face in Canada) and Edge has a new feud. The justification could have been Edge claimed he was undefeated in TLC Matches, Benoit beat him in TLC 3.

Benoit getting Cena to SmackDown! makes sense, as well, though. Benoit vs. Cena would then be logical for No Mercy, which would be a fantastic match. I'm 90% sure Batista will be facing Finlay at No Mercy. So who then faces King Booker? John Cena would be tied up with Benoit, The Undertaker is tied up with Ken Kennedy. The only real guys left are Rey Mysterio and Bobby Lashley. Mysterio is taking time off, so it won't be him, so that leaves Lashley.

-King Booker vs. Bobby Lashley for the World Heavyweight Championship
-Batista vs. Finlay
-John Cena vs. Chris Benoit
-Chavo Guerrero vs. Rey Mysterio in a Loser Must Retire Match
-Ken Kennedy vs. The Undertaker for the WWE United States Championship
-Paul London & Brian Kendrick vs. KC James & Idol Stevens vs. The Pit Bulls for the WWE Tag Team Championship
-Vito vs. Sir William Regal
-Matt Hardy vs. Gregory Helms in a Non-Title Match

That would be a great show. Hardy defeats Helms when Jimmy Wayne Yang makes his debut, setting up a feud between the cruiserweights. Vito defeats William Regal, continuing his streak. London & Kendrick retain the WWE Tag Team Championship, but are then attacked by The Gymini. Ken Kennedy defeats The Undertaker to retain the WWE United States Championship with the Kenton Bomb. Chavo Guerrero lies, cheats and steals a victory from Rey Mysterio, forcing the former World Heavyweight Champion into retirement. Chris Benoit defeats John Cena with help from Ken Kennedy, further setting up a Ken Kennedy vs. John Cena feud. Batista defeats Finlay with a Batista Bomb. King Booker retains the World Heavyweight Championship against Bobby Lashley with the Scissors Kick.

That would be a pretty good PPV, in my opinion.
