This was like my 'kid' film. As a kid I loved it so much, although it looks so crap now its still hilarious to watch and think of how obsessed with it I was.

An L Ron Hubbard Flick, IIRC. I have it on VHS. Grew up on it. More of a horror movie than Labyrinth is, with fewer musical numbers and guys with large cocks in really small tights.

Sounds like my type of flick..

:shifty:

Anyone seen Mirrormask??

I'd not heard of it before this thread. Summary?

I loved Labyrinth, and dug the Dark Crystal.

IT was hilarious. My ex's first comment was about Bowie's cock.

When even the dykes notice...

SYNOPSIS

The White Queen sleeps and will not wake. Black shadows have fallen across her kingdom. The balance between Dark and Light is broken and only the MIRRORMASK can restore it. So Helena, a stranger in a strange land, embarks on an epic quest to find the missing charm before darkness envelops the Dreamworld forever. Written by award-winning fantasy writer Neil Gaiman, MIRRORMASK is a phantasmagorical treat for the eyes and mind, a wondrous blend of live action and CG animation, where strange, magical creatures dwell in a fantasy world of unbridled imagination and scope, as told through the spectacular, cutting-edge visuals of designer/director Dave McKean.

From the Sony Official website..

I saw a trailer for it on my buddies copy of Labyrinth for PSP and bought it blindly.. It's a good "blunt" movie.. Good effects and whatnot..

I'd give it a 7/10..

It was done by Henson's production company after his death, for the record..

I was more deterred by the concept that it's a "blunt" movie. I find that concept to be incredibly lame.

Yeah MirrorMask is pretty wild. If it means anything to you, it was written by Neil Gaiman, who did the Sandman comic series.

Mmmm 80's nostalgic fantasy/adventure movies. I bought Willow recently. Plan on adding Goonies and Legend to the list. Monster Squad if I can find it, but I'm not sure if they ever put that on DVD.

Speaking of Labyrinth, has anyone been hearing much about Pan's Labyrinth? Sort've similar to these types of movies I suppose but I guess it'll be in Spanish and rated R.

Monster Squad isn't on DVD yet. Tis a crime.

And yeah, Pan's Labyrinth looks pretty cool too. The teaser is out.

I absolutely love Labyrinth, it's just the perfect film to watch when you just wanna chill out and not do anything. I could easily watch it over and over again.
