Well if this was supposed to be the Big PPV Caliber Raw before a SD only PPV it had both it's ups and downs. I'm going to start with the downs.
Downs:
1) Stacy and Jackie telling the world that they are not going to take this lying down and that they are going to do something. Boy, was this some shitty booking. Where did they go? I mean honestly, if your gonna promote tits and ass then please show it.
2) Vinnie Mac not getting the spear: As much as I like seeing Austin get it (I'm an Austin mark but I'm getting sick of this storyline), I would have liked for the boss to have gotten it.
3) Heyman recieving the spear. No explanation needed here.
Ups
1)Even though there wasn't any buildup to the feud, This Jericho/Christian/Trish Stratus thing is really starting to get interesting. 2 interesting questions I will point out: Will Trish end up showing her feelings with Jericho, or will she play him for a fool and side with Christian. Either way, Jericho is going to be face before WM next month.
2) This Benoit/Michaels angle. Look at it. Next week we have a match where Shawn faces Chris one on one. While typing this 2 important questions came to mind. The 1st being the one on everyone's mind: With that Sweet Chin Music, did Shawn turn heel or was it just him showing his "emotion". The 2nd question is the simpler of the two: Who will win, Shawn or Chris? A statement now is that wouldn't it be something if Chris Benoit locked in the SharpShooter and the WWE had Michaels tap out to it. Something to think about.
3) The Orton/RVD/Booker T triple threat match. I'm telling you all, I've said it before and I will say it again. Give RVD and Orton 15 minutes of air-time per match and they will do wonders for this company down the line. RVD's moveset in this match were downright amazing. Yes it was a spotfest, but there was also some technical wrestling used. Hands down the match of the night.
4) Ric Flair vs Benoit. See folks this is what happens when you know you have to take one for the company. Flair is not like big nose and doesn't job to anyone. Benoit made Flair tap out to the Crippler Cross face. Flair still puts people over unlike Mr. Egotistical with his other Evolution buddies.
5) The Mick Foley/ Orton angle. Everyone saw that it was going to be a setup. The Batista powerbomb through the table planted the seed for the Rock to return. And where is Raw next week: California. Coincidence I think not. The rock will return next week.
Finally the best angle of the night: The Kane/Undertaker angle. The squash match was beautiful. The buidlup and knowing that the UT will return in 34 days is going to have me anticipating WMXX all the more now. Kane not being able to do the pyro was funny as hell too.
Well that concludes my thoughts for Raw for the week. Comments/Flames/Opinions are welcome.
