I can say that this is some of the best stuff i've seen since 2000, all the right guys are getting pushed, storylines are longer and are making more sense. The quality of the overall product has improved over the past months also.
I'd say this all started around Survivor Series although the overall Card itself was not overally impressive, the seeds were planted for the future and now as we head into mania it's all begining to flower.
Just wanted to say that outloud

I always thought that 2004 may be a time for a boom period in wrestling, and right now, as the ratings are seemily rising, we could soon be seeing it.
It took a few years, but the roster split is really working now.
Lets just hope the WWE doesn't **** it up and start a giant feud between the two brands or somthing stupid like that now.
At times it's been good and others it's been awful. It's like they know what has to be done but don't really want to do it.

Well, since the year's started, the shows have been solid, which is great. I hope the
WWE keeps this up through Wrestlemania and beyond.
Now if they could just push Sean O'Haire and get Ultimo to feud with Rey Rey...

If triple H gets pinned at WMXX then leaves the WWE an dthen shawnmicheals goes with him, It'd be great.
Nah Shawn is cool so he can stick around.

I dunno I'm up in the air with it right now. I don't get Smackdown so I can't really judge it but Raw is leaving a void with me most of the time. I'd like to say at the end of the year that they gave us something really special but so far I'm not really that impressed. A World Title reign for Benoit and Guerrero would definitly do the trick for me though.

I've been enjoying RAW as of late, although IMO last night wasn't as strong as the previous couple of weeks. It was still very good though and I hope they don't slack off after WrestleMania.

While they've still got a ways to go, they're really starting to get back on track.

I like the whole thing they're doing with Michaels signing that contract. Maybe at mania we'll see Benoit against Michaels.

Agreed, hope they don't screw things up. :y:

"A World Title reign for Benoit and Guerrero would definitly do the trick for me though."
The WWE will never allow 2 former WCW wrestlers to simultaniously hold 2 titles at the same time. It'll be odd enough they even let you hold the title. ;)

Both shows have picked it up a notch. As CyNick said in another thread, it's because they've been planning more in advance, trying to build for WMXX. This is why it works, this is what they should do longterm...
I just hope they'll keep it up after Wrestlemania. Wrestling is finally picking up again, it'd be a shame to see it head back down the shitter.

I think this year is going to end up a lot like 1997. Right now it does feel like another boom period is possibly on it's way, but not quite yet. This is going to be very much a building year to prepare for the next big era of wrestling, with the likes of Benoit and Guerrero starting to be pushed up to their full potential, while people like Triple H will hopefully start to take a back seat, similar to 97 how Stone Cold started to recieve his push but wasn't quite there, while in early 98 Shawn Micheals prepared to move out the way for him. So far this has been a decent year and if it continues then maybe next year we really will see a full-on boom period again, but I think this is going to be a year that the hardcore fans will enjoy quite a bit, but the average person isn't going to pick up on it for a while yet.
So basically there is quite a way to go yet, but the right things are at least starting to happen.
