...actually, I'm not sure, but he made an appearance in OVW, and he's been out for a while, so I'm going to suggest that he is. Anyway, what do you think should be done with Burchill?
Burchill as a pirate got him over as rover. However, the WWE will need to realise when to drop the gimmick. I don't fully trust them with that, though.
Am I the only one who wants to see Burchill on RAW? His style would fit in well with the mid-card, and he could have some classics with Shelton Benjamin, etc.
Or they could stick him in a team with Harry Smith.
It's kind of odd, if Regal and Burchill had stayed together, then they would probably both be "Royal Knights" right now, and Burchill and Regal would probably be challenging for the WWE Tag Team Championship, which elevates London & Kendrick, and Burchill would arguably be higher on the card than he was as a pirate. Funny how things work in hindsight.
So yeah, I'm on the fence about Burchill's pirate gimmick returning. Does he need it? Will the WWE fuck it up this time? Should he continue down the face path or turn heel? RAW, SmackDown! or ECW? Would Burchill teaming with either Harry Smith or William Regal (again) be of interest to you?
He's probably the return I'm most interested about (well, he and Benoit). The pirate gimmick makes the most sense now, as it is between Pirates of the Caribbean movies. I say keep it, put him on RAW, and have him feud with Johnny Nitro over the Intercontinental Championship. Have Burchill win it, then go on to feud with Shelton Benjamin.
