People do more on friday nights than on a thursday. What was the whole point? That was also a stupid move. Anyone else agree?

Ratings were slipping so UPN moved them. And it sucks. I miss Fit Finley constantly because of the move.

They wanted an excuse to tank Smackdown, so they moved it to a night where nobody is prone to watch. However, it didn't work (As you can plainly see), and CW had agreed to run SD for another 2 years almost immediately after they merged.

Hungover, hell yes. but it should be on at like 5 pm when people are about to go out at about 8 or 9, and have a couple of hours to waste....nevermind.

Neither UPN nor (from what I understand) CW had/will have any weekend programming (Ok, CW will have Kids' WB on Sat Morning) , so saying they should air it on Saturday or Sunday just is dumb. It ain't happening unless WWE sinks to the point of having to go back into syndication like it was before Monday Night Raw started.
They'd go all-internet before that happened.

It depends on where you live. I've been missing out lately because UPN does baseball on friday nights. I try to watch it on saturday.
I TiVo SmackDown! and I STILL don't watch it. It just gets overwritten with the next week's.
So yeah, SmackDown! is the first wrestling show I've actually stopped following since becoming a fan.
If it starts to get better (and they drop the King Booker shit and Rey/Chavo/Eddie shit) maybe I'll watch it in a few months.

I understand, but that's a local thing. The agreements signed by the local channels that air UPN/CW programming vary, and probably some in the more major markets allow for more pre-empting of the network shows. Also many local stations re-air the more popular shows on Saturday/Sunday afternoons.

Watching SmackDown! when you're wasted or high is fun.

I'd just rather have it go back to Thursdays. Like most everyone else, I got more to do on Fridays than Thursdays.

In other news, Val Venis made his shocking and contraversial debut on Raw, Monday night. This superstar is sure to become a future hall of famer.

It's incredibly unlikely. A move to Friday hasn't adversely affected ratings enough, indicating that wrestling fans have no lives and would watch it whenever.

So wait, you don't ike SmackDown because of the two best storylines they have now? Ok, maybe the King Booker thing is overdone (and as much as I love JBL as commentator, I want to mute him every fucking time they have him constantly sing Book's praises all throughout a promo or match of his), but the Rey/Chavo stuff is gold right now.
You must be a tough one to please.

SmackDown! sucks. Finlay and the tag division is the only reason I'd watch it which I haven't in 3 weeks because of it's ridiculus timeslot.

Booker T's getting "turn off the TV" Heat from me.
Rey vs Chavo's getting "Check my e-mail" heat from me.
I'd rather be watching Hardy job. Just because you think they're the best things on Smackdown, doesn't mean everyone else would label them so. And the fact that 90% of TPWW hates Smackdown should indicate something to you on how beloeved these "gold" storylines are.
