Rapper Tupac Shakur was prounounced dead.
With the 10th anniversary of the death of one of the best performers of the 20th century just a day away, what do you remember most of him? I personally was only 8 years old at the time but I remember his legacy by bumpin' his music to this day.
Favorite track? Favorite album? What made/makes you a fan?
For myself, the best album 2Pac did was his return to rap with All Eyez On Me, the 2 disc album from Death Row. Every song on this album, both discs, has that particular magic that 2Pac brought to the table. I can listen to that album from disc 1, track 1, to disc 2 all the way to the last track without skipping a single song.
My absolute favorite song has to be Hit 'Em Up. I know, it sounds rather cliche, but this was the first 2Pac song I ever heard. What an introduction eh? There really is such strong feelings in this man's lyrics/voice in this song and I think it personifies the passion that 2Pac had for rap.

the BEST Pac song is hands down, without a doubt California Love and #2 is Changes probably.
Best album....is most likely Me Against the World.

Do For Love is the best 2Pac song, and possibly the best rap song ever.

I really like Better Dayz too. Its posthumous, but I think that 2Pac has some solid verses on that CD, and the Outlawz bring it on that record too.

C'mon none of that shit, you always seem to bring that argument up.
Its highly subjective material anyway, thats been established by previous discussions on here.
Moving on, what do you guys think about some of his movies?
I've only ever seen Juice, and I was kind of skeptical as to how good his performance actually was. I had heard he was good in it but I had my skepticism due to the fact that perhaps peoples opinions were biased due to the fact he was a great rapper, and maybe that influence spilled over into his film career. I thought he played the role well though. I'm going to have to check out some of his other movies when I get around to it.

All Eyez On Me/Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z./Me Against The World
All of his albums are classics, but those above are just a work of art.
My first visual encounter of 2pac was with the "Keep Ya Head Up" video. I loved that song, didn't really know what it all meant at the age i was (i think i was 8 or 9). Still is one of my favorites. The man was simply ahead of his time and his beef with B.I.G. was REAL rap beef...not this LL Cool J/Cannibus, 50/Jada, Rule, Joe, etc. Hopefully two artist wont go to that level in the future.
It really is a shame that people do not recognize greatness until it is gone. R.I.P. Tupac Amaru Shakur

All Eyez On Me was the first rap album I bought.
How Do You Want It/California Love got me into him, nothing before that was really played here.
