What do you think?
*ESPN.com currently has the same poll running today on the main page. Very interesting results so far.

lol why the hell are McGwire and Sosa choices? Bonds, McGwire and Sosa all obviously took steroids so why would somebody vote for 70 or 66 roided home runs over 73 roided home runs

speculation is great but it's worthless without proof
Bonds is the record holder

I brought this pointup in the baseball thread about a week or so ago. For me, it's Ryan Howard. Simply because there's no scandal around him.

How do you know Howard isn't on steriods though? Even though its obvious Barry Bonds took steriods, he is still the record holder. He wasn't tested, nobody can "prove" anything. Nice work Major Leauge Baseball :y:

how do you know Roger Maris wasn't on steroids

All very fair questions. At this point, the allegations against Bonds are merely that, allegations. I do believe he cheated, as you can't just defy nature like he did.
It pains me to say it, but until its actually proven, I have to give it to Bonds.

Why is Ryan Howard even on the list? He hasn't even passed Roger Maris yet, and I don't think he even will. That being said, why is it so certain that Howard isn't on roids? Because of the new testing? HA. As long as nobody has been caught, they are all on the same playing field, and Howard would barely qualify for the list.
Yknow tbh I don't give a fuck. Its Bonds for now but I don't think anybody believes he's innocent anymore, not even Giant fans.....Joe Morgan maybe

Bonds has the record, therefore he wins. ITs pretty simple.

BCWWF, this is a hypothetical question a 'what if Howard hits 62'. You understand hypothetical, right?

Bonds because of the roids but regardless, Howard won't beat his record.

BCWWF, this is a hypothetical question a 'what if Howard hits 62'. You understand hypothetical, right? That was the least important part of my post, Einstien. Why is Ryan Howard any more legitimate than Barry Bonds, Mark McGuire or Sammy Sosa? He is just as guilty as they are right now in terms of steroids, which is officially not guilty.

Those 3 have an air of suspicion around them. Any suspicion Howard may have is a direct result of these 3 (and others) guys. Maybe one day your comprehension skills will improve.
What are high schools, universities and the minor leagues like for drug testing?

Genius 1 and Genius 2, explain how the hell you can vote for Mark McGwire
Ok well i've voted Bonds, he's not been proven guilty, so regardless of the controversy I don't see how it can be anybody else. If you want somebody to blame, blame the MLB for its disgusting drug testing record.

You see, in the United States of America, there is somethign called "Innocent until proven guilty." Is that not a clear concept in Canada?

Which brings us back to hypotheticals. Remember?
BCWWF

How does that have anything to do with hypotheticals?
Ok lets settle this like adults, BCWWF you're wrong, Hero you're also wrong, now make peace.

If we are going to hypothesize that Howard will get 62, then I'd think the leap to him being drug free whilst the others were not, is not much of a leap at all.

This either doesn't make sense or else your opinion has changed. I can't tell because you tried to sound smart by writing the sentence in the most complicated way that you can.
Are you saying that Ryan Howard is just as likely to be on steroids as Bonds, McGuire and Sosa? Because that is how the sentence reads.
