View Full Version : Your Least Favorite Professional Athlete

We've all got someone out there that we all absolutely hate, hopefully for a reason other than the uniform they wear. So as the title asks, who is your least favorite pro athlete and why?
I am absolutely disgusted by Jason Giambi. Here we have a guy who knowingly took steroids, which is bad enough, but he never openly admitted to it. The only way it came out was because his testimony to a grand jury got leaked. So then he started to have health problems and his play deteriorated to the point where a lot of retarded Yankee fans (Not any Yankee fans that post on here, you guys are cool :) ) wanted his contract voided because he 'cheated'. So the next year he allegedly gets off the juice, and has a monster season, and wins a comeback player of the year award for a self inflicted problem. No one made the fool take roids, he did it on his own, and was rewarded for having a bounce back year. (Which to me was unacceptable) All of a sudden, the same fans that wanted him gone and his contract torn up are the same ones that love the guy again and want him to stay. Obvious hypocrisy. In the end, the media wants to play him up as the poster boy for 'you don't have to do steroids to be successful' but I mean really, we would have never known had the guy's statements not been leaked. It isn't like he came out and admitted to wrong doing at any point. And that's why I hate the guy, because the media takes it entirely too easy on him and plays him out to be a bit of a hero when all of the health and baseball related problems he had were his own fault.

Peyton Manning and the way he thinks he's hot shit because he makes thousands of audibles before the snap, as if he were a coach.

He takes the same amount of time as any other QB.
He's the most annoying in doing it though.
Honorable mentions: Doug Flutie, Chipper Jones.
Peyton Manning and the way he thinks he's hot shit because he makes thousands of audibles before the snap, as if he were a coach.
Maybe they put a mic on him or something to make it more extreme, but if that was the case I would hate him for that as well.
Edit: Nah, I don't really hate Peyton Manning, but I do find these mannerisms annoying.
Maybe if Drew Bledsoe wouldnt step in cement every time the ball gets snapped he wouldnt get sacked.
Barry Bonds - for obvious reasons
AJ Pierzysnki - if you open a dictionary and look up the word 'wanker' you'll see a picture of AJ smiling and waving. Also Joey Slugs bigs him up so much I just wanna choke myself to death:rant:
Lee Bowyer - He's a racist thug who starts on-pitch fights with teammates and can't challenge cleanly to save his life, if I ever met him i'd be highly tempted to put my boot in his face.
Also (partly because i'm a NYY fan) whilst I think what Jason Giambi did was shocking, atleast he for all intents and purposes fess'd up, stopped and got on with it and proved he's a talented guy with power regardless. The only other guys I can think of who've admited to it are David Segui (who lets face it no one cares much about anymore) and everyones favourite Cuban nut-job Jose Canseco.
Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa brought the MLB back to life in 1998 and 1999so there's no chance they'll ever come under much heat for what they probably did, plus McGwire refused to say anything beyond the questionable 'supplements' he used in those days. Rafael Palmeiro is long gone, Ken Cameniti is no more and most of the other players who were doing it have probably long stopped and will never be caught...Unless anyone wants to take the word of Canseco or a few personal trainers who'll do anything to save their own hide!
Patrick Ewing is it for me.
Never speak ill of the Ewing:rant:
To be fair old Paddy shoulda probably retired after the big injury but meh, can't blame the guy for wanting that elusive ring.
Also another one for the Brits, Jermaine Jenas. The fuckin guy had the cheek to say what he did about Newcastle, who the fuck is he anyway and what exactly has he done to get such a high opinion of himself?

Tha's part of what sickens me about it. He NEVER came out and fessed up. The only reason he said he did was because his ass was on the line. If he lies in front of that grand jury, he goes to jail. He only did it for self preservation reasons. And had his statement to the grand jury not been leaked, no one would have ever known.
Yeah, he's talented there's no denying it, but the media especially, the NY media plays him out to be this hero and its complete bullshit.

Jason Kidd is a fucking prick.

Jason Kidd definetly, beat his wife a few years back now he constantly has his son with a huge head at all the games. Blowing kisses to his wife and shit, he is so fake plus a fucking loser for hitting a girl.
I like how the media jumps all guys like TO, Barry Bonds (granted they are assholes, but its all football related stuff) then totally ignores Jason Kidd as a wife beater.
I also can't stand Johnny Damon now since he is a liar. He came out and publicaly said he wouldn't go to the Yankees if they ordered a couple more million dollars then did just that. I don't blame him for wanting more money, but he is a fag for saying he wouldn't do it then doing it. Had some bullshit excuse like he didn't feel wanted, just admit to it, you wanted more money and where lieing before.

Damon is not a fag. He may of lied by saying that when he was with the Sox but David Wells also said he would never play for the Red Sox and that he wanted to blow up Fenway. Damon brings "spirit" for lack of a better word to the Yankees locker room. He is having an unbelievable season and his hitting better than he ever did at Yankee Stadium. I totally agree about Jason Kidd though, that's why I don't like him. He's also over-rated IMO as well.

Nothing, that was just a different point about how he always fits in where ever he is but my point about him lying was that he is not the only one to do that. A lot of athletes will say shit like that and than do what they said they wouldn't a couple years later like my example of David Wells.

It's standard terminology for quarterbacks in football.
I'm not saying that Peyton says that a lot per se, it's that he's a loud quarterback and seems to be arrogant in the way he calls plays, at least to me.
