I've heard a lot about SHIMMER through ROH, and I've seen a few of the matches that they showcase at ROH events. But other than that all I've seen are pictures. There are some fine women doing some pretty awesome things in the ring. Is it worth checking out?

Edit: Should this be in the Q&A section? I'm thinking so.

Nah, it's fine, it can stay here.

I've only seen Shimmer through ROH as well. They are damn good at what they do though. Some just need to work on their crispness...

I take it that this (http://www.shimmerwrestling.com/) is the promotion?

That's the one.

I've seen a few matches. It's kinda hard to 'find' their material if you see what I mean.

I'd recommend trying to find Volume 3, as it's pretty good. Allison Danger vs Rebecca Knox ( ) and Daizee Haze ( ) vs Sara Del Ray are best women's matches I've seen in years outside of a rare Trish match here or there.

Daizee Haze, Rebecca Knox, and The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew are the few things I've seen that stand out a lot to me. It seems as though SHIMMER focuses more on in ring competition as opposed to how hot the women are, and that's what women's wrestling needs. ROH is what got me interested in wrestling again, and SHIMMER might be the promotion that finally gets me interested in women's wrestling.

Not that a lot of the women there aren't hot.

Why Lacey, Tiana Ringer and Rebecca Knox are not under WWE contract is beyond me.

I dig Lacey (although my god does her voice get annoying after a while) but tbh Rain hasn't impressed me much. Yet, anyway. I haven't really watched much of the undercard stuff but I've heard good things about Cheerleader Melissa too.

Oh fuck, how could I forget about Cheerleader Melissa. She wrestled a match against Victoria on Heat a while ago (under her real name), and it was a pretty hot match. Mercedes Martinez did a little bit afterwards. I doubt either will be signed as a result of those tryouts, but they did look good, both technique-wise and look-wise.

The name Mercedes Martinez sounds familiar to me. Isn't she supposed to be one of the better women's wrestlers around?
