* Judging by past WrestleMania numbers, promoting a few matches as parallel “main events” resulted in a diluted PPV as the impact of the true main event match(s) with regard to their impact and marketing power. With this being said, the WWE will be promoting WrestleMania XX as a double main event PPV with those being the two heavyweight title matches. The 2nd tier of matches will likely be Foley & Rock vs Orton & Batista or Flair, and Undertaker vs Kane, however these and all other matches will only receive minimal promotion. Matches such as Angle vs Guerrero, and Cena vs Big Show will be the likely undercard.

What a moron.
At NWO, it is going to be Cena vs. Big Show vs. Angle. The winner faces the WWE Champion at Wrestlemania XX. This means One of those three WILL be competing for the WWE title, whether it be against Brock or Eddie. He says, "Angle vs Guerrero, and Cena vs Big Show will be the likely undercard," if the WWE is promoting the two title matches as the main events as he says, it is impossible for all four of his predictions of "undercard" to be "undercard".
What a dipshi</>t.

I sort of understand what he's saying but this years mania isn't gonna be like last years when the Austin/Rock match was billed over the RAW title match. This year it all seems pretty clean cut with IMO the Smackdown title getting the main event but being the fact that this is a 4 hour show with most of the booking that's been done thus far it does seem that potentailly they've filled up alot of time already:
Potentail matches
Eddie/Angle = 30 mins
HHH/HBK/Benoit = 30 mins
Goldberg/Lesner = 20 mins
Orton/Foley = 20 mins
Cena/Show = 15 mins
Kane/Taker = 20 mins
Now the times i've given here are rough and will probably be over that time with entrances so your looking at over 2 and a half hours of a 4 hour show already booked. So i think when they say Cena/Show will be undercard basing it on the card as it stands here you'd have to say you would put that at the bottom of that pile.

I doubt Cena/Show will get 15. Probably more around 10.
I imagine Foley/Rock vs. Orton/? will be about 15.
Maybe Eddie isn't getting the title.

Maybe Eddie isn't getting the title.
Yeah the thought has crossed my mind. But it does seem like its quite a strong possibility
Well I would say its gone from about 90% to 60%

The whole point is that even if Eddie doesn't get the title, it puts Brock against either Cena, Show, or Angle for the title... which will take them out of the 'undercard' he predicted since according to him, the title matches are gonna be the main events.
My personal prediction is Angle vs. Eddie for the WWE title, Brock vs. Goldberg, and Cena vs. Show for the US title. Alot of people probably think that, at this point.

Yeah I'm a little less convinced about Eddie, but I would agree with Rob that its still better than 50-50. Like Ive said before, I think a chase story in a couple of months would be better for Eddie and the SD title, but I can see the logic in giving him the title on Sunday.
I understand what they are saying over at Rajah because Ive been saying the same thing for about 4 weeks now (i think I'm being ripped off....)
This year's show is very similar to last year's effort in terms of promotion.
The biggest matches on that show in terms of advertsing was Austin v Rock ont he RAW side and Vince vs Hogan on the SD side. The two title matches were on a second tier, then the HBK-Jericho match got next to no publicity whatsoever, and the rest of the card was filler.
This year, you have the two inter-promotional matches that will likely get the most publicity. Goldberg-Brock and Kane-Taker are both getting publicity on both RAW and SD, and in terms of mainstream fans, I think these two matches will be more likely to drive buyrates then Eddie/Kurt or Benoit/HHH/HBK.
On top of that you will have an even deeper card, with a Rock/Foley match (which will get more play than either title match), and as crazy as this may sound, the soon to be announced Stacy/Jackie vs Torrie/Sable could get more of a push because of the Playboy crossover. I mean who do you think Howard Sterm will ask to come on his show, Chris Benoit or Eddie Guerrero to talk about their title match, or 4 hot chicks to talk about shaving their pubs?
I dont think the multiple main events hurt the buyrate last year, I think the problem was that they overestimated the value of a Hogan-McMahon match would have. And they didn't go with the Angle-Lesnar sports story concpet like they did with Rock-Brock at Summerslam (which was their last really successful show in terms of a buyrate). I think if they would have played up Angle's injury and Brock's quest to become champion they would have done much better, and then Kurt's return would have meant a lot more in terms of drawing money. But thats just me.
I think this would have been a good year to unify the titles, and then at least that would stand above the other matches in terms of imporatnce, but I dont think they see that as a problem, yet.

Well anything can happen after NWO, title shots can change hands very easily.
I see your point about what wa sposted. I think he is wrong in saying the non title matches will be in a second tier in terms of promotion. I mean you can already see as I mentioned above, that Taker-Kane and Brock-Goldberg (which still could end up being for the title) will get far more coverage than either of the title matches.

Indeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed.
Hopefully Eddie will get the title on Sunday. Im thinkin it will come out that Angle was the one who hurt him before the SD royal rumble and it would be a perfect chance for Angle to turn heel.

Am I the only one who thinks it would only hurt Smackdown if Kurt is Turned Heel? The responses hes been getting since returning have been decent I think its too early for him to turn heel again
Any thoughts?xxx

You might be. Kurt is such a great character that heel or face, he gets a huge reaction. Besides, he's a better heel than face, actually, and that's saying a lot.

Brock/Rock is also the last main event I REALLY felt was the "main event" and was promoted correctly.

Lesnar/Goldberg shouldn't be for the title. I think a one on one (who's the best monster) contest would do just fine
