LiveAudioWrestling.com is reporting that Marty Wright (The Boogeyman) is being brought back to the WWE after being fired on Wednesday, September 20. The announcement should be made in the next week by WWE. We'll have more details on this as the story develops.
Live Audio Wrestling has a radio show that airs in the Toronto area every Sunday night. LAW had Trish Stratus on their radio show just hours after her final WWE match at Unforgiven. Also, they have close ties with the Wrestling Observer Newsletter's Dave Meltzer, so you can trust them.
Regarding Wright's release, he was shocked and dismayed that WWE decided to let him go. He didn't understand as to what he did wrong to cause him to be fired. Unfortunately, Wright had earned a reputation as being unreliable, not dedicated to getting better, making excuses for missing rehab assignments, and generally being oblivious to how unprocessional he came across. There was ongoing concern that he wasn't advancing as a talent behind the catch phrase and ring entrance, both of which he had obviously mastered.

So Wright is going to come back, just not as the Boogeyman? Guess WWE needs more jobbers...

I'd reckon he'll still be The Boogeyman as it's the character that got him over.

Damn right he better come back. I luff the Boog-Man! Especially after watching on my tape, the scene with him and JBL in the van. But if he comes back as something else, pfft! To Heat with thee!

Being a lazy wrestler with no work ethic.
Then they realized they were the same company that keeps on bringing Hulk Hogan back, so they rehired him.

They should definatly bring him back...just his entrance alone, together with the walk and eating worms is GOLD!

If a wrestler eats worms to be on TV and make money obviously he is dedicated, so WTF is WWE on?

They shouldn't announce hiring him back. He should just pop out from under a table on TV one day and be all like "MWAHAHAHA! You cannot fire the Boogeyman!"

Ok so they don't want me to watch smackdown do they? I mean if they did, they wouldn't of re-hired him. I got no probs with the guy himself but i just hate the fact that he eats worms. It's not funny nor is it entertaining, to me.

Fortunately, WWE doesn't book to what you want. Or what I want.

If he comes back as any kind of new gimmick besides The Boogeyman, I will refuse to watch his matches. His ring walk, his overall physical appearance with the whole Darth Maul/Flava Flav/Vis thing goin' on he obviously can entertain a crowd. And if he really dedicates himself to becoming better he'd at least make a great Tag Champ (with whom I don't know, it might be kinda funny to also do like some kind of feud between him and 'Taker (of course 'Taker would probably have to be the one to turn heel) and have kind of a competing mind game thing where they try to one-up each other, seeing who can outpunk who, and maybe time it so that the rubber match would culminate at WM23 with a Falls Count Anywhere match or some kind of match along those lines...thoughts?)

Guaranteed they just realized "Marty Wright" was the one that played The Boogeyman and called him to apologize for the mix up.

thats a good idea lol
i'm damn glad they hired him back

It's probably a good thing they hired him back, SmackDown! needs all the help they can get.

Damn, I really didn't like Wright, or the character. It started out...OK. Not great, but OK. He was an actor that prepared for a role a little too well, and received psychological damages, or something of the like. Now he's actually meant to be The Boogeyman from myth. :9
Wright needs to come back, job, then be fired. The gimmick could very easily be given to a guy with a little more substance. Monty Brown as The Boogeyman? He's comin' to getchya...period!

LOL, Monty Brown as the Boogeyman would be funny as hell, for all the wrong reasons of course.
Boogeyman joins the ever-growing list of wrestlers who sucked Vince McMahon's cock to keep their job.
Probably really kinky with all the worms in his mouth.
