I'm going to NYC on December 27 until January 1. I was checking out the Jets schedule and I'd love to go to the Raiders game on the 31st. Is there any chance of me getting my hands on a pair of tickets or am I basically asking for Hell to freeze over right now?

I HAVE THOSE TICKETS

If you go I will meet you (sike)

nah there are some sites where you can get tickets, there is this one my dads secretary always uses that never fails pretty much, just can't remember the name of it. :(

Howard Stern always advertises stubhub.com..

Kinda off topic but I read today on NFL.com that evey week this season (including this week) has sold out every NFL game..

All games sold out for a record fifth straight week

(Oct. 6, 2006) -- For the first time, all NFL local TV blackouts have been lifted five times in one season, the NFL announced.

All games of the NFL schedule for this Sunday and Monday (Week 5) have sold out in advance of the local TV blackout deadline, enabling every game to be televised in the home-team market for an unprecedented fifth time in a season.

Every game of the 2006 NFL season has sold out through five weeks.

It will be the 18th time since the NFL blackout policy took effect in 1973 that blackouts have been lifted for all games on a single weekend. The previous 17 times have been on Kickoff Weekend in 1998; three times in 2000; once in 2001; four times in 2002 and 2005; and four times this season.

The NFL blackout policy states that games sold out 72 hours prior to kickoff can be televised in the home city.

Just thought that was cool..

Sad thing is, I prolly only make it to one or two games..

I'm pretty sure you would be able to get tickets. If you are going alone, there should be a seat. Most sell outs aren't actually completely sold out, because they don't count single tickets. Also, sometimes the away team returns tickets right before the game.

Last time you were over here it was the MLB, and I said Tampa Bay might not be what you are expecting from an MLB experience, but I don't think it is like that for the NFL. I have only been to Vikings games, but really every team has awesome stadiums and they are always filled.

Yeah I've been to 2 MLB games (one at Shea and one at Tropicana) and I loved the experience both times (Shea was ten times better though :D ).

Plenty of tickets available on Stubhub. Looks promising. Probably order a couple of tickets later. Thanks for the help.

And Nerf, I will meet you ;)

It's too bad you're not going on November 12th. That would be a great game to go to as well but good luck with the tickets.

You mean the Pats game? That's away anyway. Atleast against the Raiders I know I'll be enjoying a victory afterwards. :p

I just ordered a pair of tickets at Tickco.com after that stubhub.com said my Zip/Post code didn't match my country :wtf: so whatever. I'm in section 104, row 19. Can't wait now, first NFL game. :D It would be awesome if it was a play-off decider asswell.

Yeah stubhub, thats the one I was thinking of. Quite a catchy name, dunno how it slipped my mind

Shit I forgot the Pats game was a home game for me and if you want to see the Jets win you wouldn't go to that game anyway.

Nervous Ferret

Also this will be a historic game because the Raiders will be the first team to go 0-16 :o

I was just going to ask, are there any games that the Raiders are going to win this season? TBH, the Jets are one of the very few chances they will have to pull out the win.

ROFL. I'm going to laugh if they don't win a game all season. That will indeed be the worst team in the history of the NFL.

Jets/Texans/Cardinals are there only 3 chances I would say. And even then it's a longshot against the JEts. :-\

lol we will discuss this closer to the game, I don't even know if I will be going or not, I have tickets but :-\ I went to a Jets/Steelers game a few years ago in the snow and it was probably the coldest experience of my life.

Pretty hard to get Pats tickets, probably cuz they are the greatest team in the history of the NFL

Yeah, though I managed to get fourth row seats(right behind the camera man so they were basically front row) in the first week against the Bills.

Did you have any nails left after that game? Haha. :p

Crippla

Yeah, it was ridiculus they won by a safety but they're 4-1 right now so fuck it.

Thanks everyone.

Tickco? Did you check with the better business bureau? Never heard of it.

I bet the tickets came printed on Graham crackers, didn't they?
