View Full Version : Cyber Sunday Main Event *Spoilers*
I did a search and didn't find anything, but since I was away I may have missed the thread, but...
As we mentioned last week on the PWInsider.com Elite Hotline, local advertising for the 11/6 Cyber Sunday PPV in Ohio lists the main event as ECW World champion Big Show vs. WWE World champion Booker T vs. WWE champion John Cena. PWInsider.com has confirmed that is indeed the direction they are going in at this time.

I would find it interesting if they put all the titles on the line in a Three Way Dance-style match. That way it would end with one leaving with two titles. Big Show would be the best for that position in my opinion.
It would heat up the rivalries into Survivor Series, where one of the non-Survivor matches is a Show vs. Booker (or someone from SmackDown!) match with the SmackDown! title on the line.
But yeah, there's the Cyber Sunday main event.

That match could very well be horrible.

This match makes me realize how bad the champions are. (No offense to Booker T, but I can't stand The King character)
Usually I'd be all hyped up for a match between the three major champions... but it looks like it'll just be average. Really tells something about the state of the WWE main event.
I say, either it has to end in a big brawl with an ending that pisses everybody off, or the Big Show has to win. Cena definatley shouldn't win though, as Raw is already portrayed as superior enough.

The only way I'll be happy for this match happening if they re-united the titles and thus the brands back together to form ONE fucking roster.

It really does say how stale the WWE is right now with that match. Three heavyweight champions in one match, and it still can't generate excitement. That's sad.

I think Booker Vs Show, or Booker Vs Cena could be done very well. Show isn't horrible, but I don't think Booker can carry them both to a decent 3 way.

I think it sounds like it could be a good match. :(

Honestly, my problem is it's going to involve Show Vs Cena... I hated their feud. It's not either one's fault, they just don't mesh well together.
Plus I live in fear that it'll be Booker and Show on Cena, and Cena "Overcoming" the odds.

Well it will all come down to which brand the WWE doesn't care about.
We all know Cena ain't jobbin.
They are pushing Big Show hard.
Booker is on Smackdown.
So my theory is Cena pins Booker.

Big Show- I have become such a big fan of his since his ECW tenure. He is really trying his best to deliver and effort goes a long way in my book. And when it comes down to it he is the best booked character in wrestling today (as of this moment.) They are finally treating him like the unstoppable force that he always should have been.
Booker T- It's no secrete I am an old Booker T mark from his WCW days but he recently he seems to have some of that familiar fire back that he used to have all those years ago. He has been bringing his A game.
Cena- Not as bad as people make him out to be in the slightest. He tries to hard and his Superman push has hurt him a lot, but come PPV time his matches are REALLY solid. So I have confidence given his opponents that he should OK at the least.
I think Big Show works well with Cena, as well as Booker. I am positive that Booker can carry Cena even on his worst night. So all in all I like the match on paper. Gonna have to wait and see if it happens.

Holding the WWE and World Heavyweight Title consecutivly (both ACTUAL titles). Jericho was the first, was there someone who held both actual titles (non-unified) besides Jericho?

Triple H
It really depends on if you're talking physical belts or the combination of the two. The former, Triple H would be the second. Latter, no one has held them both besides Jericho.

Triple H held them both, he did win both titles at Wrestlemania X-8.

you could consider RVD one too because he held the ECW/WWE belt and Rey Mysterio sucks.
Also Lesnar was an undisputed champion.

Didn't Hogan and Taker told the undisputed title too? The Rock as well I think.

You guys are missing the point. He's talking about the ones who held both actual WCW and WWF BELTS at the same time. Not the WWE Undisputed BELT that eventually became the WWE title of Smackdown, that John Cena has now.

The actual "undisputed" title, while looking awesome - was horseshit. You should have to win both titles (and hold both titles) to be a Undisputed Champion.

The way I look at is, Jericho is the only guy to win 2 world titles seperately and hold them together, physically HHH held them but it was after one fall and as one title, RVD held 2 world titles seperately and lost them seperately (but one was awarded to him so it gets an asterisk).
Anyone else wonder whether to consider the current World Belt a) of WCW lineage, b) lumped in with the WWE belt, c) its own new belt
I never know how I look at it. I like to think its WWEs version of the lineage of the WCW title and not officially the WWE championship. But its awkward to say Bats, Benoit, Orton, Mysterio, Booker and others were "never WWE champions" because technically they arent, but kinda are.

IT'S STILL THE WCW TITLE TO ME, DAMMIT!!!
Jericho pinned The Rock for the WCW Championship, then he pinned Stone Cold to win the WWE Championship, thus, making himself the first ever Undisputed World Champion of American wrestling. Done and done.
I've always considered the World Heavyweight Championship the "Raw World Title" and nothing more. The WWE Championship is the big one, while the World Heavyweight Title is just the belt for whatever show doesn't have the WWE Title (at this time, Smackdown).
It's history should only go back to Triple H... definitely not to the days of the NWA or even WCW.

Never understood why you'd have someone pin the likes of Stone Cold and The Rock in the same night and make him the first ever Undisputed Champ....and then bury him.
Are these 3 going to fued until then? I would imagine so, but it seems like Booker and Batista is far from being on hold.

Not only did Jericho hold both belts, but he made it look good. Something Trips couldn't do, hence the new belt.
At least we were spared the terrible sight of Hogan with both belts, that would have perhaps been the most awful thing ever.

The singular belt wasn't because Hunter made it look like shit, but because one belt was far more practical.

And it made it look like a unified title, which is what they were aiming for.
It may have been far more practical, but the two belts was just so much cooler.
I wish they would have stuck with the two belts up until The Rock lost the Undisputed Title to Brock Lesnar... that way when Lesnar left to compete exclusively for Smackdown, they could have had some sort of storyline where RAW is trying to goad Lesnar and Heyman into giving a RAW superstar a title shot for just one of the belts.
But noooo... they had to go and just hand Triple H the World Heavyweight Title, thus disgracing it and any credibility it may have had.

The WWE Undisputed title is the best looking title on the planet:
