View Full Version : Movies you've walked out of

I know this has been a thread in the past, but come on, get off me.

I bring this up because I walked out of a movie for the first time last night:
Jet Li's Fearless

There was seriously an hour with no action. He was living in harmony in this fucking village with a blind chick. I know it was translated/subtitled, but the dialogue was fucking awful.

Really corny and formulaic. Given, I was high at the time and acting/dialogue always seems way more forced when I'm high, it was still terrible enough that we just said fuck it and left.

There was more action coming at the end. You should have gone to The Protector while high.

Also, I've never gone to the theater to see a movie bad enough for me to walk out of. Well, there was Batman & Robin, but it was a family trip and we were in the West Ed Mall and I'd be stuck just sitting around doing fuck all instead. But since then, I've not gone to one.

I'm sure if I had been sober I would have sat through the rest but we were all getting mad impatient.

Yeah, I loved Ong-Bak, then saw it again high and loved it even more so I'm sure I'd have loved the Protector.

The Protector is like Ong-Bak x 12 in terms of action.

That's quite a statement, so i'll watch it, but if you're wrong, they'll be trouble

Never walked out of a movie. I stick it out till the end.

And The Protector has one of the best fight scenes in movie history (IMHO).

Haven't walked out anything yet.

Closest I came to leaving was Exorcist: The Beginning. But I was with a bunch of friends. A couple of us, myself included, should have snuck out to see Hero across the way.

Munich and Beerfest, but for entirely different reasons.

Munich was because my friends and I were bored with it, and because I worked at the theater, no one was going to stop me from theater hopping.

Beerfest because it was the 3rd time I had seen it, and it was after hours. The whole staff of our theater was drinking heavily (except for 2), and we all just kind of stumbled out of the theater to do shots of Jack. At one point, we ran upstairs and turned the movie off and pointed enthusastically at the two people who were actually watching the movie. They were pissed.

I passed out an hour later.

I've never wanted to walk out of a movie more than Lady in the Water, but I was with friends, most of whom wanted to but we elected to stay and just criticize it.

The only time I came close to walking out of a movie was The Hills Have Eyes. It was such a sick movie. I find it hard justifying walking out of something htat cost 9 bucks plus 10 bucks for food.

I came close with Ultraviolet...but instead I took a nap in the theatre so my dumbass friend could finish the movie.

I've never walked out of a movie. I either always pick the good ones (I can tell which ones I"ll like and which ones I won't) or just stick it out to the end (The Weatherman was decent, LotR was boring to me).

Cats and Dogs. Awful. Left the screen and snuck in to see Rush Hour 2 instead, even though I had already seen it.

I felt like walking out of You, Me and Dupree but I only stayed because my gf liked it.
