I don't mean what got you into wrestling, not an angle, stable, wrestler, none of that. I mean why do you watch wrestling? Do you think the violence is cool? We know it's not real, but we get involved. My brother asked me why I watch wrestling, what attracts me to it. I started thinking psychologically what attracted me to wrestling and I really can't figure it out. I mean I have always like watching violence I think, since I was a really little kid. But I don't get into MMA or Boxing like I do wrestling. I started to think maybe wrestlers had something in them that I don't have. I have always wanted to be the guy that kicks everyone's ass and nobody fucks with, but thats just not me. I think that may be it, they talk like bad mother fuckers (sometimes) and then kick ass. I think that maybe the reason for me but what about you?

I got into wrestling because of specific wrestlers, and I stay interested in wrestling for a select few wrestlers. I find them to be charismatic and enjoy watching them, others not too much.

I think its interesting to figure out what attracts you to something as weird as pro wrestling.
Because Stone Cold said so.

Shawn Michaels interested me in wrestling.
He was cool, funny, rebellious, his matches were always entertaining and as a young kid it was only really HBK's matches that had me on the edge of my seat.
That's what I started watching for.
As for why I watch now...?

I think it's for the spots, the pops from the crowd, the swerves, and perfectly executed moves.

I watch wrestling for the moments that nobody forgets, because when they happen it's just as amazing as something momentous happening in a "real" sport. I just happened to get into wrestling at a younger age than any other sport, and that love has stuck through the years. Sure, my interest has waned at certain points, but that's to be expected.

I stay for the diva searches. The rest of the year is a bore, especially around March-April time. But i love when the summer comes around because that means another diva search.

it's becasue you like certain characters
Plot and storylines are secondary since they are usually the same
It's because you like certain characters and look forward to their matches and promos every week

I started watching coz thats what all the kids did back then.
I continued watching coz some of the characters I liked, made me laugh, made me copy them in the outside world.
As I got older, it became kinda of my 'soap opera', but almost real. I used to suspend belief about the fakeness of it. Some of the funniest things I've ever seen happened in wrestling. Rock's Triple H impression, Kurt dressed up as a cowboy and the skits with Vince & Austin. Haitch getting caught with Trish by Steph.
If it was just pure wrestling, it probably wouldn't have held my interest. My favourite ever feuds are probably the HHH/Kurt/Steph triangle, the Rock/Austin pre-WM17 & Jericho/Chyna for the IC title. None of them were really about the wrestling, they were about the story, the build-up. I like a good story.
It won't be long til I stop watching. I don't watch SD or ECW, and the reason for which is the lack of decent characters. I can't give a shit about the likes of Cena, Masters, or Orton. The only reasons I watch Raw is to see what DX are doing and compare it to days gone by, or to see if Carlito will be given the Cena-style push he deserves.

I started to watch wrestling in the early 90's because everyone else was doing it, it was a fad that I never got bored of.
Now I watch it because (as a worker) I can enjoy and understand the efforts that the workers put in more

I like sweaty men in tight shorts grabbing each other.
Naw. I've been watching off and on since I was 6. Part of it was simply that my parents didn't want me to. Primarily, it was the characters.

Well at first because I wanted to see what all the hype was about, then I understood and just started watching every show I could once I got sky, yes, back in the day when it was that good! I guess it's because of how well the characters were built up over time, and the rivalries between faces&heels, that's what got me into it and why I still watch it. Also the entrances are good entertainment, sometimes.
