So wtf with this show?
Is each season just the happenings of a few people in a day of a given week or what? Of does it jump between a few days over a period of time like a month or year?

ITS CALLED GOOGLE FUNKY FLY, USE IT.

Each episode is one hour within one day. It involves Jack Bauer trying to stop some terrorist plot about to go down. So there are, obviously, 24 episodes per season.
The seasons are spread out though. Like this coming season is 20 months after the end of season 5.
Boondock Saint
10-24-2006, 06:39 PM
Oh, and watch the show god damn it.
Bazooka
10-24-2006, 06:42 PM
pretty sweet, looking forward to it.
also, time passes between each season, so a season is only one episode but the time between seasons is real life time or longer (so 8-20 months)
Boondock Saint
10-24-2006, 06:43 PM
And holy shit @ the trailer.

That much I knew already.

This is what I wanted to know.
Also, I don't watch due to not knowing when it's on and finding the concept of so much shit happening in 1 day ridiculous. I heard someone got kidnapped 2 or 3 times in 1 season, meaning 2 or 3 times in 1 day. Riiiiight.

When you're trying to stop terrorists from killing a large portion of the population, you do not sleep.
Besides, Jack Bauer doesn't need sleep.

So do they play up the fact he is all sleepy and shit in like the 8 episodes or so?

Don't know why but that made me remember an interview I read where Keifer said that for the opening of Season 5, they were playing with the idea of opening the first episode of Jack coming out of the bathroom, in his pyjamas and a sandwich in his hand, but obviously they cut it because they felt 24 couldn't have humour in it.

Seriously though, the way they showed at the beginning about how the toll of the Chinese torture took on him was so well written. First of all Graem was behind the attacks on President Palmer, but also the attacks that killed Tony in Michelle.
Then it's revealed that Graem and Phil Bauer are in this together. Then Phil kills Graem. Then as I'm sitting here salivating at what has happened, they are like "Stay tuned for previews from next week's 2 hour night event." And I was like Holy shit.

Tonight was just downright nasty. They save these 2 hour time slots for the premiere, the finale, and one back to back episodes that they think will cause the most talk.

The heavily rumored event that would make it personal is that Audrey will return around Episode 16 but it would be that the Chinese would have her in their custody for something the American government has. They would then trade Audrey for that something. Again, this is just speculation but this is what I'm hearing at various sites
Disturbed316
02-13-2007, 06:51 PM
Why anyone wants 24 to be spoiled, god knows. One of the great things about 24 is it's suprise twists and turns, and mind blowing sequences and knowing about things before hand takes away the shock factor of the events.
Example, when Tony died I knew about it and although it was still pretty choking viewing, it still didn't have the same impact it had as, say, Edgars death. Oh god, poor Edgar :'(
Lock Jaw
02-13-2007, 07:00 PM
Tony's death sucked because it was like a quick throwaway thing. It should have been immense. He was practically the second main character. 24 lacks anyone like that now.
Also, concerning this season, anyone else find it hard to believe Wayne Palmer would get elected President? Skinny black guy who talks in an annoying whipser voice all the time? David Palmer was ok because he was a large and intimidating black guy with a booming voice. Made you go "oh shit, I better vote for this guy". But I can't see Wayne ever getting elected. Unless he did something like dedicated the election to the memory of his brother.
Boondock Saint
02-13-2007, 07:03 PM
The President sucks this year, he slows the pace down. Actually, the whole White House plot sucks. I hope a nuke is detonated there. How many times are we gonna see some sort of weasel inside an administration and whatnot? I was hoping Lennox wouldn't have gone ahead with this plane with Reed, that would have actually been different. It seemed like they were going there for a minute.
Same with Graem's wife not telling Jack that his father called her. Seriously, it's fucking Jack Bauer. He could have figured out a way so his dad didn't know she told him. Plus, Jack couldn't tell she was lying when he asked her if anything was wrong?

I also noticed that Graem's wife is played by the same person who plays Nathan's wife over on Herpes.
EDIT- And of course, I mean Heroes, and not Herpes, but am going to leave the spelling error there because it is highly hilarious.

going back to episode 9. I noticed a recurring theme since season 4. Everytime Jack see's Chloe for the first time in a long time. Its very intimate. Almost like theirs a love connection there. Not that they've " hooked up " or anything, but that it will happen eventually. The 24 writers have really went out of there way to make these moments. They did it in season 5 a couple times. When he rescued her and when she went to the terrorist house and had to kill that dude and Jack was at CTU walking her through it and he picked up the phone and personally asked her if she was alright and stuff.
Then in the second to last episode, when Jack returned to CTU, he went straight to Chloe and it was almost like two people in love seeing eachother for the first time in a long time.
I wonder where they will go with that. I think they're setting something more then a friendship up.

02-25-2007, 01:11 AM
So did they have the power nap episode yet
No, but could be a brilliant idea. Here's what i see..
CTU is going crazy. Bombs are going off everywhere.
Buchanan : " Get me Jack Bower! " .
Then they cut to a scene of Jack sleeping in pajamas. Then they go to commercial. Come back. President Palmer ( who is the worst television president ever ) is talking to Buchanan.
President : Bill do you have an update for me>
Bill: We dont know who's behind the attacks. We have a small lead.
President: Lets get Jack on it
Bill: We're trying sir, but we cant seem to contact him right now
Scene cuts to Jack Bauer sleeping still. Phone rings. Jack Bauer sleeps right through it.
Back at CTU..
Bill : We think * Random Arabic name * is behind the bombings today.
Chloe: Where's Jack???
Scene cuts to Jack.. still sleeping.
And just keep this theme going through the whole episode.

Is it just me or has Chloe's role gotten alot smaller this year. She has hardily anything to say and it seems that Milo, Bill, Morris and even that hot muslim chick seem to be getting just as much screen time or even more.
And I hope that Audrey dosnt come back. I have never really liked her
hmm
I like Audrey
I think the muslim chick is a mole. Which is stupid, cause they have a mole every other day.

I wanna know how come the hour always conveniently ends on a cliffhanger and at a "down" period.
I want to see the hour end like, in the middle of Jack speaking on the phone.
"Chloe, I need you to get me so-" DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP DEEP.
lol yah
I want to know if Jack is really constipated the next day after not pooping for 24 hours.

he sits on the toliet and cant poop. He then pulls his cell out and calls Buchanan
Jack : Bill we got a problem. Put Chloe on.
Chloe : Jack its Chloe
Jack: Chloe i need you to pull up a satelite image of my house
Chloe : Jack whats going on?
Jack : Chloe my stomach is rumbeling but i cant get anything out. Chloe i cant shit.

Just seen 1-2pm, where Jack's dad threatens to kill Josh if his mum takes Jack to that house, pretty annoying really. I really hope he dies in the end. I've lost count of the number of TACT guys who have died this series, it's been a stupid amount so far.

Last night's episode in the states was pretty much just a lot of dialogue. 24 goes through these points where they have one jam packed episode of action and then go through 2-3 of the next episodes with only one big sequence. I consider Jack rescuing Milo and Marilyn and at the end Josh's son, the last big action episode. So by this theory we have at least 1 more episode of dialogue.
And Chloe's, Audrey or Kims death. Doesnt one of them have to die?

Just shown Charles Logan getting the fuck stabbed out of him from Martha. The attack on the Russian consolate was pretty bad ass watching.
Soo did they write Audrey out or are they going somewhere with that? You dont think they'll wrap the Fiad story line up with 5 episodes to go and go into the China thing again do you?
Did they say whether Logan lived or not? And why the fuck did no one say anything about Milo letting Natia use his high level access. You'd think someone would ask the question maybe.
This Johnson guy looks like an douchebag. Who shows up in the middle of a nuclear crisis and starts playing mind games with the employees? Thats hilarious.
President Palmer codes and then 2 scenes later he's talking on the phone like nothing happend. Wtf. The autistic kid LOL COMON. I love how they made the retard go out and do a deal with Gradenko. I was laughing so hard.
The writing this year has been suspect in some cases.

There's a rumor going around that at the end of the season, something major will happen. They are saying off the wall, you want to know what is going on right after the season ends major.
Heres the thing. I've been of the opinion that 1 of 4 things has to happen. 1) Audrey or Kim have to return and die. 2) Jack actually dies. 3) They really fucking go for a twist and make Chloe a mole/terrorist ( this probably would never happen ). 4) Aliens are behind this whole thing.
No.
I dont really know what they can do to shock me. But one of those 3 above things need to happen.
Lets see..
They've already bombed CTU, realeased Nero toxins in CTU, assasinated a president, set a nuke off and killed 12,000 people, killed jacks wife and all of his girlfriends. Killed the 3 charachters that we all loved off.
I'm not sure what else they can do that would be considered " off the wall " unless they actually do #4 .
I cant decide if i like Doyle or not. I kinda hope Jack kicks his ass before the season is over.
Maybe Jack will die and they'll bring back Chase or something.

The rumor right now is someone will drive by Jack, open the passenger door and say Hello Jack, I have a lot of explaining to do. Jack will get in (proof that he instantly trusts this character). Jack is supposedly SHOCKED BEYOND BELIEF. So who would be that character???
The rumor is is that it's Tony.

Shut the fuck up Almedia is immortal.
To celebrate we all have to talk like Tony for a week so that means we all have to say alot of "ya", "alright" "ya alright what do you want jack." in a deep raspy latino vocie
I still think Nadia is a terrorist. I also think Palmer is an idiot and Tom Lennox is the F'ing man honestly. I love Tom Lennox. I love the guy that plays him and i think he should win an Emmy. The scene where he's sticking it to the Vice President with the recording he got of him asking his assistant to purger herself. That was awsome.
Also, Fiad is bound to escape somehow. I cant really see them doing like the past few seasons and moving from one main bad guy to another every 5-10 episodes. I think he'll probably escape. I the Gredinko knew he would die and deep down didnt want to be responsible for all the lives that would be taken and also knew that Bauer wouldnt honor there deal, so he gave Fiad up in that bar and left to go die.
WHERE THE FUCK WAS CHLOE!! I want to marry her.

Seriously, Tom Lennox is the man. It helps that he was in Ghostbusters II also.
I hope he becomes the new Mike Novick. In that he's always around the President, even if the President would happen to change.
He was the man on that one show with that annorexic bich. And that show sucked, but you still knew he was the man.
Yeah Lennox has turned into one of my fav characters too. He was a great heel in the beginning, then was a tweener til he made his huge face turn and blackmailed Daniels.

More asskicking next week. :D :y:
BTW, Peter Macnicol(who was great in the aforementioned Ghostbusters 2) is who plays Tom Lennox(who is indeed the man :y: ).
Yah, Jack is gunna kill atleast 200 terrorist in next weeks episode.
Just watched episode 17. HOLT SHIT HOLY SHIT! Man that fight scene at the end was awsome. Then Doyle going " damn Jack " had me laughing. Audrey at the end was pretty sweet. Amazing episode. Best episode since the first 4.
Yeah that was one of the best fights scenes I've ever seen on 24
Probably the best episode period, but usually the first couple episodes of every season are really exciting.
Season 6 is beginning to make Season 4 look like Season 2,3 and 5 put together.
They really fucked up what could have been a brilliant USA/China showdown. Audrey brained damaged obviously. Thats annoying and worthless.
i gotta be honest. Aside from Jack, the only thing i absolutley love about this season is Tom Lennox. I wish Tom Lennox was in seasons 1-5. Where the hell has he been. He's amazing. And now that i say that, he'll be kidnapped and murdered halfway through season 7 like they do to all the amazing charachters.

That fight was the highlight of the season so far, hanging Fayed was brutally amazing with Jack sneering as he watched him.
Apart from that I feel this season hasn't been quite so amazing as others, the only other moments that made me go WHOA this season was with Curtis and when the bomb went off.
