I find that I"m only listening to older stuff. Metallica is my favourite band. I'm always listening to that kind of music. I do throw in Nirvana every now and then, a little Marylin Manson, ACDC, Led Zeppelin, old Limp Bizkit, The Offspring, Green Day and Rob Zombie. I'm into hard rock/metal. I don't like screechy metal.

I need some new bands to listen to. I've had a hard time finding decent new shit and I've had a hard time for about 5 years. Hook me up with some good new shit along the lines of the bands I listed.

Do you mean new to you, or new as in recent?

If the former:

Type O Negative. Not exactly Manson, but I think the same vein rule applies.
Any of Tony Iommi's solo records (Iommi, Fused, there's one other, but I don't own it). Same reason.
Stone Coyotes. AC/DC meets Patsy Cline, as a canuck once put it.
I don't know if Ra would do it for you, but their second record (From One) is pretty good. Kinda on the poppish end of "hard rock/metal," but...
Stabbing Westward is pretty decent, but if you don't like "screechy" as in people screaming, than they might not be for you. The vox are very NIN, if you like them.

Floater, too. They're not really similar to any of the above (Except a passing tie to Tool), but they're kind of like Pink Floyd gone heavy metal. It's not exact, but still. Floater kicks serious ass.

I suggest Static-X , its harder but not screachy, to see their best songs IMO

The Only
Kill Your Idols
Push It

Silent Civilian, Mudvayne, Trivium and In Flames are also great.

Saw them open for Metallica and thought they were pretty damn good. Thank you for the CSI fogiveness.

Am not a fan of the Crue.

Finger Eleven. Kane's theme just reminded me. I like how they're almost avant garde (Some of their shit is particularly artistically merited), but still kinda pop.

Satyricon - New stuff is more easier to approach than the old one, it's not as much black metal than it was. Just listen to "the Pentagram Burns" or "K.I.N.G" and you'll probably thank me.

Also you might like Susperia. Try songs like "Home Sweet Hell" and "Chemistry" for instance.

I think you can find all these songs in youtube, so you don't even have to download them first.
