Discuss it here. I swear to god, the game looks gorgeous.

Graphics: Gorgeous
Gameplay: Gorgeous.
Storyline is rumored to be amazing and well thought out

Taken from an article on IGN.com which gave the game a 9.5 out of 10

And big rewards are what you'll get when you travel to the world of Ivalice. Final Fantasy XII is a massive, multi-character adventure with the darkest and most mature storyline the FF series has yet seen. But unlike past titles in the franchise, there isn't a single major character pressing the action (despite what commercials or FMV introductions might have you believe) -- this is a true ensemble piece that weaves multiple webs filled with every descriptor in the book: misfortune, treachery, love, hatred... you name it, it's in there.

Some other notes from the article.

The enemies have an AI, so they are not going to sit there and take punishment. They can run away, bring deathblows. IGN says early in the game you will get your ass kicked a few times.

They are claiming it to be better than Kingdom Hearts 2 for game of the year this year. I easily thought Kingdom Hearts 2 was game of the year this year.

Just a couple of hours in right now, so I can't make any big judgements yet, but I like what I've seen. I dig the new battle system, but it's kinda stupid that you have to buy spells before you can use them.

Back to talking about the game.

New battle system is badass, but what I'm starting to realize is that its exactly like they said in the reviews. There is a lot of running around to do before you get to the bigger part of the game.

The game is gorgeous tho :love:

I don't know why but since FF7 there really hasn't been a Final Fantasy worth playing IMO, hopefully this will change that.

I am really digging the voice acting. Balthier reminds me of a more suave Jack Sparrow :love:

Also, for some reason, I am finding Fran's voice outrageously sexy.

balthier n fran were the only good characters, the rest were all real bland, maybe if you gotta got Al Cid that would have been nice

the story is mainly about vaan and then it turns to ashe so i dont know what that thing splaya posted is about....

i hated vaan so fucking much, almost as annoying as tidus, like always oblivious to everything and a terrible voice

there was talks going around that it might not be a PS3 exclusive...dont know if that is really true or not...

I hope it comes out on the 360...it will save me some cash so I dont have to buy a ps3
