Well, the latest Generation of Video Cards have been released today.
This brings in Hardware DirectX 10 support.
DirectX 10 will be part of Windows Vista. Which is due out next month and is looking great from the Beta/RC testing I've been doing.
Intel has also just released new Quad Core CPU's. They are spanking every other processor out there.
I'm going to upgrade early next year to a Quad Core/DX10 Video Card system
