I've read comments about SD being decent, I haven't watched it for over a year, and mostly forget the spoilers.
What stuff does it have to draw me in? Sell it to me, be a businessman.

It sucks and is generally filled with fresh OVW meat and a couple of soon to be has-been never quite A-list wrestlers (sans the occasional Unrertaker match). Basically is you like run of the mill average right down the middle of the road wrestling, SmackDown is the show for you!

I actually think that SD is the better show, and JBL's commentary really makes the show worthwhile.

The wrestling is better on SmackDown. Yes, there are exceptions (Boogeyman, Miz, any of the SD divas...), but as a whole, the actual matches are better on SD.

Paul London & Brian Kendrick are the WWE Tag Team Champions, and have been for the last few months. Incase you didn't know, Paul London & Brian Kendrick are two of the greatest cruiserweights of all-time.
Gregory Helms and Matt Hardy have been putting on great matches since The Great American Bash PPV, as have almost everyone else on the roster. Chris Benoit, William Regal and Finlay are three veterans who know how to craft a match better than any other.
JBL is the best colour commentator in the business...by far. "It was either Big Dick Johnson or Dusty Rhodes making a comeback". How can you not want to hear that man talk?
Mr. Monday Morning
11-16-2006, 04:52 AM
Smackdown actually has wrestling. That should be enough right there.
If you don't love King Bookah and some combination of Regal/Finlay/Benoit beating the piss out of each other then you have no soul.
Also yeah Kendrick & London, who are actually starting to develop characters :y:

Yep. I'd rather watch a show that people aren't watching. Hell, I could be the only viewer and I would still like it. If you want to be a lemming and go with the crowd, more power to you. Honestly, Smackdown is terrible. Micheal Cole makes me want to stab him in the god-damned face with a hot knife, Booker is piss boring, Batista can't go anymore, Benoit's in a fued with someone who doesn't have HALF the charm or and charisma his uncle had (and by the way, no clue why Benoit is helping shit on Eddie some more), Kennedy and Taker is fucking boring, since there's NO WAY Taker will put him over at Survivor Series. Not to mention I could care less about Tag Wrestling, A "Strong" mid card, or a bunch of legit jobbers taking up TV time that isn't really necessary.
I don't watch wrestling to watch grown men tie it up and put on a physical specticle. I watch it for the stories, the trash talk, and the whole "WTF" is going to happen next factor. Smackdown lacks this in SO MANY fucking ways. You can take your Londons and Kendricks and shove them in your ass.
If I wanted to watch fucking "WRESTLING" I'd buy ROH tickets and be fucking drooling over Danielson.

Arquette was in the ring with some half-way decent workers, to be fair. Do I think a non-wrestling celebrity should ever get in the ring? No. Can I do anything about Kevin Federline in the ring? Also no. So I figure I'll just watch Cena carry his balls around without someone to carry him to a good match, and pray that after he retains, they find someone good for him to fued with until Mania.

LoL You say everything on smackdown is boring no matter who is on there or what they do, and you admit to nto watching it, so your opinion holds no credibility. Batista has actuallky improving lately btw, Booker T is entertaining and is actually being booked right amazingly, and benoit/Chavo could lead to a really interesting match for the US title. As for kennedy/taker, that's all about getting kennedy over, and i'm excited to see where Kennedy's heading now after he beat down Taker as he reminds me more of what Austin used to be like. I'm pretty sure MVP will cost Taker the match. But look at it like this and compare how many viewers the two shows have lost over the last year in total, then you'll wake up and see for yourself which is better. You don't lose your hardcore fans cause it isn't cool anymore, you lose them due to the show being utter shite. And raw could always guarantee atleast above a 3.0 rating, now they're lucky if they get 2.5.
ROFL  Lmao..etc...
You St Jimmy, are a retard. Give me one story that raw has booked in an entertaining way. Cena/edge? Nope. Kane/umaga/ Nope. Dx/ mcmahons? Nope. That's about all that's happened on raw this year.
If I wanted to watch fucking "WRESTLING" I'd buy ROH tickets and be fucking drooling over Danielson.
If I wanted to watch big names playing politics and burying the whole roster then I would watch raw.
But yeah anyway, how old are you? 12?? You sound like it. Can't you make your point wihtout saying the word 'fucking'?
Kane Knight

Let's be honest. Raw stills gets 3s pretty often. That's the reason I've posted it as though it were news that the ratings have been so consistantly down, but even then it's not much below 3.0, and I don't think I've ever seen it below 2.5.

Personally, for me, Smackdown has been way ahead of Raw lately (altho I havent seen this week's SD).
For me, what I like about Smackdown.
They have far more wrestling on it then Raw,and matches that generally you don't know the outcomes of. Usually they have 1-2 15 minute matches, 2 under 10 minute matches and a squash match or 2.
For some reason I seem to care about the SD! workers more than the Raw workers. Basically, I like Carlito, however, if Carlito was given a decent spot, then he'd be my favourite wrestler. Whats the most we see of Carlito, a four-minute four way dance, or him flirting with Torrie Wilson?
Conversly, I'm not a massive fan of Matt Hardy, but because I see more of himin more interesting situations, I find i can enjoy his work more and more.
SD! has JBL. Cole and JBL are excellent together. I like JBL because, although he has heel characteristics, he can still manage to dislike some heels e.g Sylvan and like somefaces London/Kendrick, Chris Benoit. Furthermore, JBL seems to be able to rationalise heelish behaviour, something that King-JR and Styles-Tazz don't do (where they just say "such and such is an ass") instead of understanding why a heel acts a particular way e.g JBL said Tatanka snapped because of such and such.
SD! is not dominated by a few top guys. Every Raw segment seems to have D-X in it. They get probably 5 times as much air time as Randy Orton and Edge and heaps more than the rest of the roster. SD! on the otherhand introduce good matches/segments with lots of midcard guys (e.g London/Kendrick, Boogeyman, Helms and Matt Hardy.)
Smackdown makes stars! Which stars have Raw made in the last year? Spirit Squad, highlanders...WTF. However, on Smackdown, they've made Lashley, Jimmy Wayne Yang, Finlay (I know he's older and all), Kennedy, slowly building up MVP.
Basiclaly I'm tired now...but SD! is so much better than RAw right now

So seven people, vs Lashley, Yang, and Kennedy.
Wow. You sure showed them.
Oh, and if MVP counts, so do Cade and Murdoch.
If Finlay counts...Well, Finlay should never count. The guy was an established midcarder, and has returned to such.
However, it does highlight some things I dislike about Raw. DX vs the Spirit Squad. Stupid, boring faggots vs...Well, male Cheerleaders...:shifty:
No, seriously, though, Spirit Squad's dominating (I know it's not so much anymore). Boooooring. DX's dominating. Boooooring. Gimmicky tag teaming with a retard and a guy who screams HOOOOOOO. Booring. Flair, and any other legend who's not Michaels on Raw. Boring. Vince/Coach, whoever's in charge. Boring. A so-called "Celebrity." Boring. By the way, when TNA's picking up bigger stars than you, it's time to reassess your business. Cena. Boring. In fact, it seems the show is mostly devoted to someone dominating someone else in predictable matches of little appeal.
I'm not even trying to sell Smackdown. It being more entertaining right now is, to me, the equivalent of Comparing Hussein and Mussolini. Smackdown's more or less BARELY in the radar in terms of watchability. Between Vicky Guerrerrrrrrrrro and King Booker, I spend half the show trying to decide if I need to take a piss...Again. I love some of the folks on each show, and the numbers on S(t)D are just enouigh to keep me watching, whereas Raw is more a "well, Carlito just isn't enough to make me tune in."

Basically, I was tired when I wrotethat, and forgot my point.
The actual point i was supposed to make in regards to the spirit squad is that altho they have 5 members, there is only one that I actually know anything about (Kenny) and Johnny to a much, much lesser extent.
Kane Knight

Then you probably aren't paying attention.
You can blame it on disinterest, and Hell. I do, but that's our ends, not WWE's.
Spirit Squad are boring and annoying, and they make me turn the channel. However, I do know they've developed more than Kenny...I just don't care. That doesn't help your argument, however.
Hell, it doesn't even help mine. Not only can't we trust our opinions or the internet, but we can't trust cable ratings, Nilsens, or anything short of the hand of GOD himself.
