TNAWRESTLING.COM EXCLUSIVE – THE VOODOO KIN MAFIA ACCEPT THE OPEN CHALLENGE TO FACE MATT AND JEFF HARDY THIS SUNDAY NIGHT

On Wednesday, TNAwrestling.com received a call from the Voodoo Kin Mafia, who wanted to let the wrestling world know that they are publicly accepting the open challenge to face Matt and Jeff Hardy this Sunday night.

Although the open challenge was answered on their Monday night program by another tag team, BG and Kip would like to also accept the challenge to make it a three-way match.

According to BG, they will agree to compete in the bout under one condition – that the competition must cease and desist all “Dumb to the Xtreme” television skits effective immediately - and this must be verified by a signed and notarized legal document.

In turn, The Voodoo Kin Mafia will agree not to air their footage this Thursday night on “iMPACT!” on SpikeTV.

“You know Vince – a funny thing happened on Monday afternoon on your website when we were watching your little online press conference,” BG James said. “When the Hardys made the open challenge, I couldn’t help but hear the fans chanting ‘VKM’. Some other tag team may have accepted it, but it’s still an open challenge and the Voodoo Kin Mafia want in the match – so let’s make it a three-way. You have until this Thursday night before ‘iMPACT!’ goes on the air to give us an answer.”

Personally, I kind of like it. I mean it's not like Kip or BG have anything better they could be doing. Any "Tag Team Dream Match" they might have once possibly had has been lost in history for some time. It's sad because honestly the NAO were my favorite tag team of all time. I will always be a mark for them, but I totally see how pointless this whole mess is. If they are actually doing to do something worth a damn, they need to let them go out and make complete asses of themselves like the DX Army sketches. Have them actually at WWE events, try to get people to talk shit about the product, get some people wearing WWE shirts to say they would rather see VKM over MNM. I just feel like they are half assing it. Having said that, again I will state that for my own dumb markish pleasure, I am getting a kick out of it.

I wouldn't say never because the WWE does some really outlandish things sometimes, but so far they have yet to fall into this trap. Probably because it is so plainly obvious you'd have to be a moron to fall for it.

I don't get why people complain that TNA is giving the WWE publicity. Every TNA fan would know about the WWE. I don't see how it is promoting the WWE.

This goes one of three ways, in my opinion. The first, and more likely, is the WWE ignores this. VKM come out on iMpact! talk shit, they get what they wanted. The WWE look like pussies, and TNA gets to call them out on it. It's kind of pointless, as TNA fans kind of already suspect this about the WWE. It just kind of re-enforces their fanbase a little.

The second scenario: Voodoo Kin Mafia is allowed to compete, they actually get a chance to work with the tag teams, and the WWE passively acknowledges the existence of TNA. This isn't completely impossible. The WWE letting TNA get some time in the sun increases the chance of competition. TNA is nowhere near the level of WWE financially, so giving them some exposure won't hurt too much. It also backfires on TNA pretty bad, as they look like assholes if they continue to punk out the WWE. They're no longer the underdog, they're obnoxious little fucks.

The third scenario is that Voodoo Kin Mafia are allowed into the match, the WWE adds Sylvester Terkay and Elijah Burke to the match, and they get the legit fighters to beat the shit out of VKM, and make them look like jokes. You make the assumption that I actually care about what Stima had to say. All I care is that I've bothered to notice that he's pretty worthless and his juvenile humour (juvenile being the closest I can find to a description) isn't actually remotely funny - note this topic at showing how he isn't even familiar with the notion of subtlety. I would've pegged certain people smart enough to work this out too, but apparently I was wrong.

They'd have to establish it was actually intended to be a legit fight, they'd have to get someone to waste their time proving it, and any lawsuit against WWE would incur severe legal fees and take long periods of time which would likely not benefit TNA.

Any legal or public opinion battle in a lawsuit against WWE would likely be a pyrrhic victory.
