It has to be Curt Henning
What Would Kevin Do?
12-12-2006, 07:55 AM
Henning wrestled in the 90's. I was thinking Blassie, but I don't think he wrestled in 2000
The Fugitive
12-12-2006, 08:22 AM
Impossible. Blassie wasn't an active wrestler in the 80s and onwards as he had retired in 1973 to become a manager and it states that he wrestled in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s.
What Would Kevin Do?
12-12-2006, 08:32 AM
Meh. I'm just trying to think of an older wrestler who was around in 2000, and died sometime between then and now... No one is even coming to mind who hasn't been said.
What Would Kevin Do?

Moondog Spot...
The Fugitive
12-12-2006, 08:59 AM
Hey, you're doing better than me. I'm stumped.
Moondog debuted in 1979 though, so I don't think it's him.
From what I've worked out, it's someone who debuted somewhere between 1960-1970 and continued to wrestle until his death in 200x. Now my maths is terrible at this hour but I'm guessing that he started wrestling when he was 18, so I'm going to put his age around his mid 60s to early 70s assuming that he died recently.
I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say it's Luke Graham.

Hmm. Did Orton Sr team up with Orton Jr? I don't recall.
If so, that might be it.
Destor
12-12-2006, 09:16 AM
Yup, when Bob Jr. first started they team quite often.
The Fugitive
12-12-2006, 09:22 AM
Actually, scratch that, it's not Bob Orton Sr.
Him and Orton Jr. won the Florida tag team titles in 1976.
Jeritron
12-12-2006, 09:26 AM
Its not either Bob Orton because hes still alive, both of them I'm pretty sure. And Bob Orton sr. didnt wrestle in the 2000s. The best guess I've seen thus far is Cowboy Bob Orton, but hes alive... so it can't be him.
damnit this is tough.
Actually, scratch that, it's not Bob Orton Sr.
Him and Orton Jr. won the Florida tag team titles in 1976.
Even so, did Orton Sr. even wrestle in the 2000's?
Also, Orton Sr. is dead. He died a few months ago.

Even so, did Orton Sr. even wrestle in the 2000's?
Also, Orton Sr. is dead. He died a few months ago.Yeah, he retired in the year 2000 (July to be exact.) He had a few matches in the 2000's. It may not be right but it fits all clues.
Destor
12-12-2006, 09:29 AM
Jerry, Orton IS dead. Sorry I had to be the one to tell you.
The Fugitive
12-12-2006, 09:30 AM
He retired in 2000, so he could have still be a active wrestler before he retired.
... Oh. Good job stealing my thunder, Des.
Jeritron
12-12-2006, 09:36 AM
I'm getting confused with all of you, just checking this all...
1. Bob Orton Sr. is dead now I'm gathering? I thought he was alive as of a year ago but he was pretty old so I believe it. However he never wrestled in the 2000s did he, he couldnt have because he was so damn old.
2. Bob Orton Jr. (Cowboy/Randy's Dad)- Is alive and has wrestled in the 2000s
All these Ortons...
Destor
12-12-2006, 09:39 AM
1) Bob Orton died July 16, 2006.
2) Bob Orton retired (in the ring,) in July 2000.
3) Bob Jr is still with us.
Destor
12-12-2006, 09:40 AM
I don't care how old he was, he wrestled in the year 2000. Fact.

NeanderCarl could have overlooked the Florida Tag titles by accident or something. stranger thigns have happened
He claims its "easy", yet other than Bob Orton Sr. I dont see one other wrestler well known by us that fits the clues.
Chuck Jones
12-12-2006, 09:55 AM
I thought it was Hennig because:
1.Tagged with Larry when he debuted in the AWA, but they didn't win the title
2.When he was Perfect and intercontinental champ, he held the title for a year.
3. Debuted in 1979, Wrestled in all the decades, but his back injury gave him problems in wrestling so he managed and commentated in most of the early to mid 90s
4. Dead.
Jeritron
12-12-2006, 09:59 AM
like i said earlier, it must be curt henning. I didnt know he debuted in 79 but now I'm sold.
Plus hes well known, so I could see how it would be considered "easy"
NeanderCarl needs to get back here asap.

Nope.
Curt Hennig?
Yep.
There's no third 'N'. :p
NeanderCarl
12-12-2006, 02:42 PM
And to honest the first clue, Hennig forming a team with his father, I thought they only teamed up in the AWA, so I confess to a little faux pas there. Didn't realise they'd held the prestigious NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team Titles.
So apologies, but well done Chuck you had me again!
Chuck Jones
12-12-2006, 04:31 PM
This is my first go round, so it may be too easy.
1.Him and his partner used to be skydivers and pilots judging by their outfits.
2.Does terrible jobs when it comes to hurricanes, so do not employ him in FEMA.
3. Likes the color Red and does not particularly care for the city of London.
This was hard. It seems more like a really shitty riddle, but I tried.

Well, it's only the first set of clues...
Even still, there's got to be a point where if there are X amount of people who fit that it's just silly and it's basically a guess.
I can name the first wrestler who comes to mind: Steve Austin (seriously was the first to come to mind) and he would (and does) fit that criteria.

Owen Hart.
First one to get it...must of made it too easy.
Jeritron
12-13-2006, 05:11 PM
it all comes down to what is a "famous" tag team. Are we talking LOD, Hardys, NAO famous...or just a team that was a tag team in WWE, like Owen/Jarret or Owen/Bulldog? Famous is a vague word.
Jeritron
12-13-2006, 05:12 PM
that was lame, 3 people guessed it within a minute.

Yes! Okay, here goes:
1. Former United States Champion
2. Former Intercontinental Champion
3. Former World Tag Team Champion
4. Has been in at least one movie
Not sure if this is too easy or too hard.

Nope, not Edge. What movie was he in?
TerranRich

You know what...I am a freaking towel. The very first set of clues lead to Terry Gordy. Guess I should have read the thread from the start, but the answer is Bam Bam. So since it's a repeat, and since Xero guess Michael Hayes and he was in Freebirds with Terry, I'm giving the honorary win to Xero.
Destor
12-13-2006, 06:57 PM
Bah, with a game like this repeats don't matter. Anywho, first person to go can have it.
Wow, I feel so honored. :shifty:
Anyway...
1. Has been involved in multiple matches with non-wrestlers.
2. Has wrestled in WCW, TNA, and WWE.
3. Made his PPV debut at a WrestleMania.

ok my turn
1.competed in 5 different promotions
2.had more than 1 stint in wwf
3.had more forgettable matches than memorable ones
The One

*I am willing to bet no matter who it is, I will be able to find more than 5 promotions they worked for
*Judging a match's forgettableness vs. it's worth as a memorable one is kind of (VERY) subjective
*Terrible clues.
My guess...Boogeyman
