I do not think you can have a face vs face match. Therefore, I think it's finally time to turn Batista heel. Have him do it after the Rumble, before the Rumble whatever. He's long overdue for it, and because he is so over with the fans, turning him right now seems logical. Just like it seems logical to turn Cena right now too.

Who would you turn and why?

Turn him heel because he's so "over"???

I smell another Goldberg heel turn.

Also, i wouldn't say he's over.

So how much are tuition fees at the Vince Russo school of booking?

If anyone is overdue for a heel turn, its Taker btw.

If anyone is overdue for a heel turn, it's Shawn.

We're talking about the shitty shitfest shitstravaganza of Shittown that would be Undertaker and Batista wrestling, and you're concerned because you don't like face vs face matches?

What?

Yeah, because face vs. face matches typically end up as No Contest or DQ or double count-outs or something, and nobody wants to see that.

Am I the only one here who thinks this match would blow, regardless of whether or not it ended in a draw?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

I think taking Crazy Pills is the only way to assume the match would be good. Or a good idea. Hell, I can hardly bring myself to call the concept a "match".

Taker doesn't wrestle much lately -- and after 15 years, he's earned a lax in-ring style. At least he's not a slap-frenzied, chop blocking, balls-clenching Woo Master. But I digress.... My point is that taker isn't uber technical. But Batista is basically a "Dave smash!" kinda 'wrestler'. And since neither guy puts on much of a show thru performance, I see a total bomb fest -- finishing moves notwithstanding -- from this little escapade.

Neither need to nor should go heel. If Taker does indeed loose you need a passing of the tourch so to speak. And that should go to a baby face. Passing the tourch to a heel doesn't make much sense.

But it also seems impossible to 'pass the torch' to a face in any way in this respect. The heel that wins could one day turn face and still brag of this accomplishment, but any face that beats him will be instantly booed.

Nah, I don't see that.

Then I'll prod you to share with the rest of the class what you do see.

This should be the match where Batista turns heel. He beats Taker fair and square, they shake hands, embrace, Cole and JBL hype up Taker's first WrestleMania loss to The Animal, then BAM! Spinebuster, Powerbomb, Batista walks out to a chorus of boos.

We then get Benoit/Batista leading into the new "season."

There's no reason Taker should even fight anyone from Smackdown. In years past, he's taken on Raw guys for Wrestlemania. I forsee they'll feed him the top heel not involved in a title match. If it happened today I'd say Edge...and he'd job after a minute without putting in any offense.

Taker will never pass on the torch because he will never job to another man, woman, or child for the rest of his life. McMahon jobbed to him. HHH jobbed to him. Anyone who won't job to him won't even get in the ring with him because they know they'll eventually have to.

Batista vs Taker at Mania will result in strike 2 for the on-notice Vince McMahon.

Cena vs Orton will result in strike 3.

I could be out of wrestling by the night after Mania.

TS6 is right; I heard that's why there was no Taker/Brock feud. Lesnar didn't want to lose.

There was a Taker/Brock feud, culminating in Brock beating him in a cell at No Mercy in 2003.
