If you like Foo Fighters, there's a whole CD of live acoustic stuff they did.

I was always a fan of the acoustic version of Local H's "Bound for the Floor"

Tegan and Sara: More for Me
Taillights fade (Doesn't matter which acoustic version you get, it's done by Buffalo Tom, but there's also a Lisa Loeb version usually put up under the wrong name [Twilights Fade] and a version with Bill Janovitz of BT and Lisa Loeb).

iron and wine is like the krappiest band ever.

mitchanthropic why Lives? i think that is maybe the worst song on the album. 3rd Planet def if you want a modest mouse song. but the answer to this thread is blowin in the wind.

I dunno, I've always really liked Lives. It's just a really different song, and the transitions in it are not what you'd expect at all, but they still work. I dunno. I just find it a musically intriguing song. :-\

But yeah, 3rd Planet as well for sure.

Lives is an awesome song. Especially when it just suddenly changes mid way.

I love the line:

It's hard to remember, it's hard to remember
That our lives are such a short time
It's hard to remember, it's hard to remember
When it takes such a long time

Gonna have to disagree with you there. Iron and Wine is one of the best acoustic bands that no one has ever heard of.

Yeah, except they're not a band "no one has ever heard of."

They're not horrible, though. I don't know how they'd come up on the bottom of anyone's list, like 'em or not.

if you want acoustic songs, days of the new. although only from their first self-titled album, the rest of it is extremely craptastic.
