Are they ever going to decide what to do with the guy?

The whole 'screwed coz I'm black' thing had a smidgen of potential, especially if it led to a mini-stable with Cryme Tyme.

Now they bring in Charlie Haas (Christian circa 2002), to be a cheerleader that will lead to a feud with Cryme Tyme and the destruction of a decent legacy of a tag team.

I shake my head, I really do.

I like the potential with this angle. It starts off as a feud against Cryme Tyme and WGTT. Could be fun. Cryme Tyme wins out and then you get a Haas Shelton feud. Whats not to love?

Just because he's black and Cryme Tyme's black doesn't mean they have to team in order for the whole thing to be good. The whole "they set back black people's reputation" thing works out just fine. And I don't think either team has enough history to say that it has a legacy to tarnish.

Why not? You could have had Shelton trying to put them right. Telling them to get to the top as a tag team, you have be athletically good, concentrate on the ring, get a good mentor (like Angle was to TWGTT). He could have taken the role as their mentor. You could have CT doing their stupid skits and have Shelton tell them it's wrong.

Eventually, they start to split apart, and argue over things. Then during a Hardy/Shelton IC title match, CT could come down and help Shelton screw over Hardy to win the title. After the match, Someone could interview him and say 'you were teaching CT to be different', and he could come back with 'screw that, I'm champ again, it doesn't matter how I win, it only matters that I do win'. Works with both Shelton's and CT's current persona's and could make CT half-interesting.

TWGTT have a decent legacy. They are remembered (certainly on here) as one of the best tag teams of recent times. To feed them to CT is criminal.

"Could have" doesn't mean it's the only way for things to be good. Some people might find THAT to be undesireable. Shelton doesn't have the mic skills to be a great "mentor" for Cryme Tyme "like Kurt Angle" was.

And I'm sorry, but two years as a tag team isn't enough to count as a legacy in my eyes. "(certainly on here)" may have hit the nail on the head, and "one of the best tag teams of recent times" isn't saying much. That's like saying you're one of the best of the worst.

So...They're black, so they should all be on the same side?

Why not just let Haas and Benjamin team up with their common cause--They both hate niggers?

Throw in Vis then. He's pretty "street" too.

Benjamin just doesn't have a personality. The guy has proven that he can go in the ring with the best of them, but the fact of the matter is that he can't "entertain."

Until he finds a gimmick or idea that suits him, he's going to keep wandering in mid-card hell.

You think it makes a difference these days if he could entertain or not? Knowing the WWE, I don't.

Lies. His bit a few weeks back with Carlito was golden. The "They use my theme music as a lullabye in Africa" was brillant.

It pisses me off to no end when people say stuff like "Shelton Benjamin can't entertain" or "Charlie Haas has no charisma". Both comments are bullshit. See their "APA is Crap" song, Shelton's opening skit with Trish Stratus and Vince McMahon that time, etc. Charlie Haas has that bad-ass charisma that is just there. He's like the guy who always got the chicks in high school, always got the top marks and always did the best at sport. So Shelton is a little shy on the mic, he's got personality, they just need to give him enough avenues to getting it out.

I'd put the WWE Intercontinental Championship on Shelton Benjamin next week, with some assistance from Charlie Haas. They seem to be building to Cryme Tyme vs. The World's Greatest Tag Team, but I think that should wait until the Royal Rumble. Have Shelton win the IC Title, have The Hardys feel cheated, and set-up WGTT vs. The Hardys vs. MNM for New Year's Revolution. Maybe have The Hardys win the World Tag Team Championship from Rated-RKO, and then put the belts on Haas & Benjamin, just so Cryme Tyme beating them means a little more.

Of course then you move into a Shelton Benjamin vs. Charlie Haas feud, this time striking while the iron is hot. Hopefully both men can then start building to the main event, or something of the like.

Just wait until next RAW, you'll all say "There goes Charlie's push."
