Yeah, I made a cover for GTA4, obviously it isn't real, but it was just a little project I've been doing on GIMP for a day or so. Based on a southern setting for GTA4.

Enjoy.

Oh and if anyone wants to try their hand at this, I can give you a boxart template to mess around with. Just ask.

lol at the Dukes of Hazard in there.

Not bad, just a little messy on the rebel flag cutting.

Yeah, originally there wasn't going to be a confederate flag in there, I just saw a blank template I'd modified ages ago where I had messed with the flag etc. So I thought I'd use it.

(Basically I'm just blaming my past retardedness)

Oh and the city in the top right is Dallas

I do not want your praise, especially in that form.

I think that's a very good job, Just John. You know what? I'll take a shot at making a GTAIV box art. I've always thought that a Sin City (Las Vegas) setting should've been its own game, but unfortunately it was shoved into the San Andreas world.

Any other thoughts for a GTA setting I could do? If not, I'll just do a Sin City one.

But with the way the previous, numbered GTA games have gone, it'll probably still be in Liberty City.

It won't be in Liberty, people will go nuts. I personally will scream, I am sick to the sight of it.

I'm guessing Europe (UK?) or Chicago/Detroit (Midwest)

Anyway:

Thats a good blank to use.

Eh, I dunno, kinda half-assed.

Nice, kinda looks like the rock in the bottom left corner though

Probably hard to do in a town like Vegas, but action shots of shooting, carjacking etc. are pretty good to slide in here and there.

It is. :shifty: I needed filler. :p

Yeah, like I said, it was half-assed. I just Googled some pics of gambling, craps, casinos, Las Vegas, etc. I almost included a scene from CSI. :p

Yeah, did you use normal 'cartoon' filter on the table pic on the right?

For two of them, I used a Photoshop tutorial I found on making comic-book style images. After that, I discovered my own, far easier method, using two layers of the same image. Bottom layer, apply the Cutout filter, then increase the saturation big time. Top layer, make it Mulitiply Blending Mode, then apply the Photocopy sketch filter and adjust the outlines to look good. And then merge them.

The table pic with all the people stanidng around it, and the bald guy ont he right side, was already a high-res pic so it was easier to work with. The outlines were thinner and looked much better than the others. The thicker-outline pics were low-res and barely resized to fit.
