I've been thinking about this off and on for a while. How many Wrestlemanias do you think there will be total? How many more years do you think it'll keep going? There are tons of possible scenarios, but realistically how many more years do you think Wrestlemania will be around?

As long as there's interest, there's supply.

It managed to get to 23. I'd say there's definitly potential to go to 50. Possibly 100. Who knows?

It will go as long as WWE does...

Even if and when the WWE goes out, someone will no doubt buy the properties and library (that will sell for a huge sum alone), and they would probably continue with the WrestleMania name.

As long as there's some type of wrestling alive, it will go on.

Can anybody see pro wrestling disappearing within 20 years? I can.

It won't. Unless we live in one of those futures you see in movies, where smoking, swearing, raw meats etc are illegal.

I can never see wrestling completely dropping off the map. "Underground" promotions will always be around. And in 20 years, the Internet will be huge, so there will probably be more promotions, thus more footage from internet-only promotions and the like.

Well I know a while ago they have only aquired the websire name rights up until mania 49.

I did consider buying 50, but aparently there's some rule that states you can't buy purely for the reason of selling it to a corp.

Even so, they could still sue you for it, as it has their property in it (WrestleMania)...

Wow, I just had a vision of the future of pro wrestling. It could potentially return to the state it was in 20-30 years ago where wrestlers weren't restricted to one particular company. A network of many small indy promotions would take over after WWE's eventual (and inescapable) death, leading to wrestlers appearing in more than one promotion, possibly having feuds in several companies. It would be a regression of pro wrestling, but a rebirth at the same time.

I'm sorry, did I seem high just then? :(

Fuck that! Make like you're planning to run your own WrestleMania in 2034, and when the time comes, WWE will be screwed!

And probably extinct, but hey whatever. :p

All I know is that I've been able to book all the way to WrestleMania 53 and still go strong. Stupid fans not knowing when to quit.
