I am still standing by what I said since 2002...Randy Orton is the future of the WWE. He is the perfect heel, and if WWE hadn't fucked up his first run on top by half ass turning him face and jobbing him out in under a month to HHH, he would be the biggest heel currently. He simply has that "It" about him.
I think that as of right now, Edge is the bigger star, but Randy definately is going to have a better career over the next few years than Edge will.
Personally, I am not a huge fan of either of them.

Orton, Orton, I'd not shed a tear if either one was dragged out, shot, and left for dead in the desert.

Totally agreeing with the one here. Batista/Triple H is what Orton/Triple H should have been.

And Edge is the bigger star now, but Orton for the other two questions.

He could be the next great heel in the business tbh. He just inspires that desire in the fans mind to see him get his ass kicked. And if there is one thing he does better than anything else its get his ass kicked. Probably the best sells in WWE right now.

I'm going to include Kenny Dykstra in Rated-RKO, just because:
Who is the Biggest Star:
1. Edge
2. Randy Orton
3. Kenny Dykstra
Who has the Brightest Future:
1. Kenny Dykstra
2. Edge
3. Randy Orton
Who do I Prefer:
1. Kenny Dykstra
2. Edge
3. Randy Orton

Kenny is easily the lowest on all three of the lists for me...
However speaking of Kenny, why the fuck did they give him the last name Dykstra? What was wrong with Doane? 20:1 odds say it's because WWE wants to trademark the new Kenny last name.

I can help but think every time I see Rated RKO that Randy is sucking up every segment. He just doesn't do it for me. He seems out of place.
Hating Doane's last name btw.

Yeah, at first I thought they'd have amaing chemistry as a team, And they do tbh, in the ring. But yeah all the promos do seem like rand is in the background. But after seeing tonights backstage promo, perhaps that was done on purpose to eventually create an Orton turn and a new edge orton fued.

I don't like the name either, and I bet they just want to make "dickstra" jokes. "Kenny loves dick" is probably going to be DX's material for the next six months.
My guess is they didn't want people to get confused between Referee Jack Doan and Ken Doane. It's quite sad. What are people going to do in their real lives, when they meet two people who are influencial in their life, and they share either the same first name, or the same last name? Even in preschool people learnt to deal with that shit.

I'm a huge Orton mark, but Orton doesn't even have close to the overall talent Edge has.
Edge is the man and the best in the WWE.

Bigger star: Edge
Brighter future: Randy Orton
Personally like more: I've liked Edge longer, but he barely edges out Randy. No pun intended.

Edge.
Ortons good and all, but hes not as entertaining. His mic skills are below Edges, he isnt as versatile, and he just natrually generates heat unlinke Edge who can create it and control the crowd.
Edge has surpassed Orton and he hasnt even been given what he has, or been a top name as long.
Edge is a better wrestler in the ring, and hes certainly a bigger star because of his following and his roots in the attitude era.
Edge Edge Edge haha
But he only has a brighter future in the WWE if the WWE chooses to realize this. Edge could be the next Triple H role. A damn good heel who the fans love to hate, controls the crowd and is a mainstay of the title picture who can make bad wrestlers look better.

Personally I think they've screwed up the Edge/Cena fued. Should have been teased out for this years Wrestlemania Although I don't like Cena, Edge gets the best matches out of him and they certainly have a unique chemistry to their rivalry reminiscent of Triple H/Rock or Shawn/Bret. Not that its as great as those, they just compliment eachother very well.

Yes the Dude.
He was an MVP candiate in 93 when the phillies went to the World Series.
Also he is the same guy pictured above playing for the Mets

Edge all the way.
Edge has more of a passion and respect for the business that Orton. I don't get the feeling Orton really wants it that much, Edge has been going out there and pushing his character week in week out for three years. He was never someone we really saw as a future World Champion but he went out and took his chance and that is important. Not the end all and be all but Orton just does not seem to be trying hard enough.
I personally prefer Edge but on a wider scale I'd say others would be likely to pick Orton as a future champ.

Bigger star at the moment: Edge
Brighter future: Randy Orton
Its a toss up to who I like personally like better. I'm going go with Randy Orton. To explain I'm going to tell a brief story. I'm 21 years old and I've watched wrestling pretty much my entire life. I stopped in early 2002 and just kinda became sick of it and thought it had totally crapped out. And when I say "stopped" I mean totally stopped. I saw absolutely no wrestling until...In about October/November of 2005 I'm flipping through the channels and I catch a glimpse of whom I thought was Christopher Daniels wrestling in some 6 sided wrestling ring. My first thought was what the f*ck is with that ring? Second was, Hey, thats Christopher Daniels! I didn't know he was still around, he's awesome he's one of my favorites! I watched the rest of that Impact and from that day forth started to watch wrestling again. When I started watching the WWE I was looking at all the new people that were on the scene since I had stopped watching and I basically couldn't stand ANY of them. I would see Chris Masters, crap. Batista, meh but still kinda crap. Carlito, I thought was hugely annoying. I couldn't stand John Cena from the second shoulder block I saw...and then there was Randy Orton and I was like...this guy has IT. If the WWE can get there act together some THIS IS THE GUY who is going to be there future BIG, BIG STAR. Sure hes not spectacular in the ring but he's better than some other 'main eventers' and he has a both in ring and on the mic charisma....
So that was longer than I expected so I'm cutting it off...anyway, personal fav is Orton.

Normal Is Me
12-19-2006, 01:36 PM
Edge is the bigger and IIMO, the better star now.
Randy Orton has the brighter future though. Edge has been involved in so many punishing matches in his career, and not to mention the guy has a fused neck so I'd say his time in a wrestling ring are severely numbered. Whereas Randy Orton has not had to be involved in too many vicious matches and is the younger of the two.

12-19-2006, 02:25 PM
Who has the brighter future comes down to booking, I think. I mean, obviously Randy Orton has got years ahead of him, but if he fucks up, and Edge plays his cards right, I think Edge may have the overall better career in retrospect. I mean, he's already done a heck of a lot. 2001 King of the Ring, WWE Intercontinental Champion (5), WWE United States Champion, WWE Champion (2), World Tag Team Champion (11), WWE Tag Team Champion. I think what it may come down to is how strong they push Edge and Orton, respectively.
Edge also has that WrestleMania streak to watch out for.
Mr. Nerfect
12-19-2006, 02:26 PM
But yeah, I think Adam Copeland potentially has the brighter future in terms of being remembered and celebrated, as opposed to Orton, who I suspect will accomplish more in his career after this said date.

Orton will be but Edge is bigger and better right now.
I pick Edge. For everything
