Armageddon Ladder Match gets my vote. Fun, crazy, the underdogs picked up the victory (not just booked underdogs, "holy fuck, how did those guys avoid the glass ceiling" underdogs). It had some great moments, and could easily be put on a Greatest Ladder Match/Greatest Tag Team Title Match DVD, and look like it fits.

Gonna save Fignuts the trouble and say KENTA vs Mujifari.
I'm also going to nominate Bryan Danielson vs KENTA from Glory By Honor, Night 2. Incredible match.

Which one was the first one? Because that one was just underwhelming as all hell.

Genesis. And what do you mean?

It was good but just not the blowaway MOTY everyone was expecting. Turning Point was better IMO. That's just me, though.

London and Kendrick went over...they've been the Tag Champs for SEVEN FUCKING MONTHS! They were up against Regal & his partner Du Jour. The other two teams (who are officially both split up) were added last minute. Now tell me, how, how the fuck are you saying they were the underdogs? Sometimes your hard on for London & Kendirck is flat out annoying and makes you say the dumbest shit ever. At least when I talk about Nash selling out over a hundred thousand in an arena, it's ovbiously a joke.

Yeah, when you're the champs for a long time and you're wrestling in an element suited to your style and the other teams either don't have a chance of winning or aren't even on your show, you're not the underdog.

Sorry mate, but I have to agree with Mag and TOVO here. I can see your point and it was a good match but calling them underdogs? Come on now, as soon as that ladder was added to the match, it was painfully obvious that the champs were going over.

Sorry, but to the casual fan ( me ), it didnt appear to me that they were underdogs. Fans were cheering for 2 otther teams more then them. Maybe to you, the smark, thought they were underdogs. But not me. I actually thought they'd lose.

Cena/RVD at One Night Stand also mostly because of the crowd fucking with Cena.

Foley/Edge at WM was good. Taker/Angle at No Way Out. A bunch more I can't think of.
Styles/Daniels vs. LAX - Ultimate X - No Surrender
Rammsteinmad
12-23-2006, 07:24 AM
Chris Benoit VS Booker T - No Way Out
Rob Van Dam VS Shelton Benjamin - Backlash
F.B.I VS Tajiri & Super Crazy - One Night Stand
Shelton Benjamin VS Carlito VS Johnny Nitro - Vengeance
Obvisouly neither of them would make it, but they were awesome matches.

KENTA Vs Danielson gets my vote. I also really liked the Shuji Kondo Vs Kaz Hayashi match from August. Not match of the year, but better than most of the stuff that's been mentioned in this thread.... Then again, so was Maru Vs Nigel from GBH2 is too.

Also since it was defended in the US, no one thought Nigel would come away GHC champ. KENTA had a legit shot at beating Dragon, since his shoulder had just been hurt. Also it took MMA elbows and several cattle mutilations to put KENTA down, great finishing sequence.

It was obvious Paul London & Brian Kendrick were going to win, yet most people were expecting Regal & Taylor to take the titles heading into the event? Paul London & Brian Kendrick weren't on the same level as The Hardys and MNM. You can talk all this shit about being Tag Champs for seven months, but since when has that meant anything in the WWE? Rob Conway and Sylvan have been Tag Champs three times, they must be credible.
Yes, Paul London & Brian Kendrick going over in the Ladder Match was the logical thing to do, but they were the fucking underdogs. It's like putting Jeff Hardy in an Elimination Chamber for the Intercontinental Championship. Give him Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Edge and John Cena as opponents. Jeff Hardy is the only guy who fits the WWE Intercontinental Championship from that pack, so he makes the logical sense to go over, and in that sense it wouldn't be surprising. He's still the fucking underdog.
The Armageddon Ladder Match was a mixture of classes. Paul London & Brian Kendrick are fucking cruiserweights. That should tell you something there. The Hardys have been main eventing RAW on occasion, as have MNM. To have that mix was a great idea.
When the match itself was announced, it was pretty obvious London & Kendrick would retain, but no one in their right mind would have expected the match to happen. It's always been a pipe-dream, and then it happened. As I said, it was apples going over oranges in a match set up for the apples to win, so they could look like oranges. Paul London & Brian Kendrick gained something from the match, and ascended in the WWE ranks. That pretty much spells you out as the underdog.

I take it you don't watch SmackDown!, do you?
The match was not touted as being suited to Paul London & Brian Kendrick's style. Michael Cole and JBL made it seem like The Hardys' match. London & Kendrick were teasing a split, and it's good to see the WWE came to their senses, but it wouldn't have surprised anyone to see Regal & Taylor take the belts.
London & Kendrick were fighting guys that have been booked above them. The marks saw it that way, and as a smark, I found it refreshing to see London & Kendrick be given the chance to shine. It was probably the best case of the WWE elevating someone at all this year. Was it surprising to you, or Tovo to read that London & Kendrick retained? Probably not. But to marks it was. Was it surprising to see them take The Hardys, MNM, Regal & Talor on in a Ladder Match in the first place? Fuck yes. No one ever suspected London & Kendrick would be given that chance.

Kendrick and London rank as some of the worst champions of all-time. They are on a loser show with lots of shitty teams.

Righto.
NO! London and Kendrick are the bestestest team in the history of the double double e! (except all the teams that was actually better)...

KENTA vs Marufuji, but as far as WWE goes, Angle vs Undertaker was very good

KENTA vs Danielson every time.
KENTA vs Marafuji was very good but it just didn't have the raw emotion that the Danielson match did. McGuinness vs Danielson was very good too but I actually preferred their last match at Epic Encounter II.

I didn't order to many pay per views, so I probably missed a lot, but the best match i saw this year was Edge/Foley from WM 22.

Foley/Edge at WM was good, but it was pretty much the same match Foley had with Orton in 2005.
