Holy shit! That look's awesome!
I gotta admit I thought the first film was fairly good, and I guess we all knew most of the Silver Surfer would be CGI anyway, but damn this looks amazing.
Hopefully we'll see Galactus in this one or possibly a sequel.

I saw the trailer when I went to see Night at the Musuem. Looks bad ass, if anything, i'd go to see it just for the chase.
Wow. That was awesome.
I have to admit, I really hated the first one. But this looks promising.

 Liked the first one a lot. Can't wait for this.
I never watched the first one caused it looked cheesy to me but this trailer makes me change my mind. The Silver Surfer was one of my favorites as a kid though I'd never thought he'd be in a live action movie.

It will amount to nothing if it doesn't include the most important and money-drawing aspect of the previous movie: Jessica Alba's cleavage.

I didn't mind the first one, I was pissed off that they were in space within the first 15 minutes of the film, everything felt rushed in the first one, especially Mr Fantastics CGI.
After a re-watch I thought it was alright, not terrible by any means, the films major saviiour was Johhny Storm.
This trailer does indeed look bad ass, I hold out high hopes just based on this trailer, hopefully they will take there time with this one.

Am I the only one who thought the first one absolutely sucked because of how fast it went and how little gradual story development there was?

Yeah, there's no time to really invest yourself into the characters. But these are characters you're already supposed to know, though.

The first one really didn't "do it" for me, coming off far superior efforts like Batman Begins. But the Silver Surfer does rule. So I will give it a shot.
That Chris Evans guy is enough to put me off anything tbh

I watched FF4 and the only thing that kept me into it was Human Torch.

The first one would have been good if Dr. Doom hadn't been fucked up. Changing a character somewhat, for the sake of condensing his origin into a movie, and changing certain aspects to fit him in better with the world the movie portrays doesn't bother me at all. But they changed everything that makes Doom great.
Hopefully they don't do that with surfer and galactus

So is Surfer a good guy or bad? Never followed him in comics.

I liked McMahon's Doom. Thought it made him more than just an over-powered villain (always thought Doom was a little over-rated).
However, this looks good. I love the morphing through the buildings or his board. That is pretty cool.
And the dude who plays Stretch REALLY reminds me of John Stewart.

He started off as Galactus' herald but then broke free of him and became a good guy.

Surfer is neither good nor evil when he served Galactus, since Galactus is a cosmic force of nature- not 'good or evil'.

Then he became a fully-fledged face.

Really unsure how they would be able to do Galactus convincingly - he would definitely need a slight re-vamp looks wise, since the way he looks in the comics wouldn't look that great on the big screen. Could always go down the "Gah Lak Tus" route of the Ultimate Marvel comics, but that'd no doubt piss off legions of FF fans.
Some rumours suggest they might be doing down the route of Doom stealing the Power Cosmic from the Surfer, as has been done in the comics previously, so who really knows what'll happen?

I've read that the ending will be a cliffhanger of sorts with Galactus showing up, making him the main bad guy for part 3.

Anyone got a pic of him as Ultimate Gah Lak Tus or whatever. I can't fnd a pic. All I got was a cover of his space ship or something that resembles his head... US continuity is about 2 years ahead of UK (unless I get American ones which are nowhere near where I live and importing seems too much hassle), so we probably won't see this for a while. :(

Ultimate Galactus isn't a he. It's an it. And I can't seem to find a pic either.
It's basically just a massive swarm of robotic drones that travel about the galaxy consuming planets (obliterating all organic life on them before hand). It still uses Silver Surfer like beings as heralds, but they're more like T1000 style liquid metal creatures than the mainstream Surfer, and they have a totally different purpose.
You can pick up the 3 books that make up the series (Ultimate Nightmare, Ultimate Secret and Ultimate Extinction) for about 20 quid off Amazon.
Can't see them doing it in the films anyway, unless they want to really piss people off...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ultimate_Galactus_trilogy Best I could do. If you type in 'Gah Lak Tus' into Google Image Search, his Marvel bio will appear, but the image is only viewable from the Google page.
As for the Surfer- http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/d/da/ULTEXT003.jpg
One Surfer is supposed to be left behind, and I guess is fat or something. I dunno, not much into the Ultimate universe.
