View Full Version : Moves you wish they'd bring back/make finishers again?
What moves do you wish they would bring back, or make finishers again instead of just common moves?
I have to say that, even though it wasn't a "legal" move, Bret Hart's Figure Four on the ring post was awesome. It just looked great. Same with the Sharpshooter, although I think he only used that once.

Or let Booker do the spinaroonie the way he did it back in WCW as his 2nd wind thing.

Piledriver has gotta be the top one for me and the Vertebreaker as well.

If we're gonna have to sit through things like a full nelson for a finisher, I'd like to see them give Masters (or someone) a variation of a full nelson or torture rack into a sit down power bomb.

Yeah, before Mark Madden, that didn't even have a name.
Yeah, before Mark Madden, that didn't even have a name.
Imagine, if they didn't name it until he got to the WWF it would have been called the "BBQ ROTISSERIE SPIN".
I was just thinking about the Torture Rack! I used to do it to everyone I could find.

The DDT as a finisher.
Jake Roberts was about the only guy (with the possible exception of Arn Anderson) who could make that move look absolutely devastating. Like he says himself, the fact that it is used now as a set-up move just makes Jake look even better, because when Jake hit it, nobody got up.

That's the Diamond Cutter. I believe (not 100% sure) that the Diamond Dust is a flip-over Stunner.

Yesss, I remember thinking how killer that move looked. Similiar to the DDT, in that everyone uses it now as a setup move.

I think that's why Shane will make the WWE better than ever if he takes over when Vinnie dies. He understands the new style of wrestling a lot better than Vince.

and on a side note.... I still cringe a little every time I see that botched Shooting Star Press Brock Lesnar did on Kurt Angle at WM XIX. How he didn't break his neck or kill himself is shocking.

Garvin Stomp = Maybe the worst finisher ever.
I mean, I'm all for suspending disbelief (and that's been done to death in the Future Of Submissions thread) but that took the biscuit. Why would his opponents just lie there and take it while Garvin slowly trod on various parts of their body?
